The 2018 Rogers Cup presented by National Bank was a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 129th edition (for the men) and the 117th (for the women) of the Canadian Open. The tournament was part of the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 of the 2018 ATP World Tour, and of the WTA Premier 5 tournaments of the 2018 WTA Tour, and was also a 2018 US Open Series event. The men's event was held at the Aviva Centre in Toronto and the women's event was held at the IGA Stadium in Montréal, both from August 6 to August 12. [3] [4]

The 2019 China Open was a tennis tournament being played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 21st edition of the China Open for the men and the 23rd for the women. It was part of the ATP Tour 500 series on the 2019 ATP Tour, and the last WTA Premier Mandatory tournament of the 2019 WTA Tour. Both the men's and the women's events were held at the National Tennis Center in Beijing, China, from September 30 to October 6, 2019. This was also the last edition of the China Open held to date as not being held in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in China.

The 2021 Canadian Open were outdoor hard court tennis tournaments played from August 6 to August 15, 2021, as part of the 2021 US Open Series. The men's event took place at the Aviva Centre in Toronto, and the women's tournament at the IGA Stadium in Montreal. Alexander Zverev defeated Matteo Berrettini in the final, 6–7(8–10), 6–4, 6–3 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Madrid Open. It was Zverev's fourth Masters 1000 title, his first since Madrid 2018, and his 15th career ATP Tour singles title overall. Berrettini was in contention to become the second Italian to be a Masters 1000 champion.

The 2021 Hamburg European Open was a combined men's and women's tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the 115th edition of the event for the men and the 19th edition for the women, after last tournament being held in 2002. The tournament was classified as a WTA 250 tournament on the 2021 WTA Tour and as an ATP Tour 500 series on the 2021 ATP Tour. The tournament took place at the Am Rothenbaum in Hamburg, Germany between 6 and 18 July 2021.
