The Boys' Singles tournament of the 2016 Badminton Asia Junior Championships was held from July 13–17. The defending champions of the last edition is Lin Guipu from China. Kantaphon Wangcharoen, Chirag Sen and Koki Watanabe were the top 3 seeded this year. Sun Feixiang of China emerged as the champion after beat Lee Chia-hao of Chinese Taipei in the finals with the score 21–13, 21–15.

Lakshya Sen is an Indian badminton player. He's a former World Junior No. 1. Sen is a bronze medalist at the World Championships, a gold medalist at the Thomas Cup, a silver medalist at the Asian Games and a gold and silver medalist at the Commonwealth Games. He has also won bronze medals at the Asia Team and Asia Mixed Team Championships. Sen won the Canada Open and was the runner-up at the All England Open. At the junior level, he has won a gold and silver medal at the Youth Olympic Games, a bronze medal at World Junior Championships and a gold and bronze medal at Asia Junior Championships.

He is nicknamed the "Three-Game God" because his playing style requires him to play three games long and always win in the end.

The boys' singles tournament of the 2018 Badminton Asia Junior Championships was held from July 18 to 22. Leong Jun Hao from Malaysia clinched this title in the last edition. Thailand’s reigning World Junior Champion Kunlavut Vitidsarn leads the seedings this year.

The boys' singles tournament of the 2017 Asian Junior Badminton Championships was held from July 26 to 30. The defending champions of the last edition was Sun Feixiang from China. Leong Jun Hao of Malaysia emerged as the champion after beating Bai Yupeng of China in the final with the score 21-6, 20-22, 21-17.

The 2019 SaarLorLux Open was a badminton tournament which took place at Saarlandhalle in Saarbrücken, Germany, from 29 October to 3 November 2019 and had a total prize of $75,000.
