The 2019 Ohio Valley Conference baseball tournament was held from May 21 through 26. The top eight regular season finishers met in the double-elimination tournament, held at Rent One Park in Marion, Illinois. The tournament champion, Jacksonville State, earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division I baseball tournament [2] [3] Among current members, Austin Peay has won the most championships, with six, while Belmont (joined in 2012), SIU Edwardsville (joined in 2008),and Tennessee–Martin (joined in 1992) have never won championships. The tournament began in 1979.

Seeding and format

The top eight regular season finishers were seeded by conference winning percentage. After a play-in round between the bottom two seeds, the remaining seven teams played a double-elimination tournament, with the top seed receiving a single bye.

The Murray State Racers are the athletic teams that represent Murray State University (MSU), located in Murray, Kentucky, United States, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the NCAA Division I ranks, primarily competing in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) since the 2022–23 academic year. The winner of the tournament receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship. The tournament began in 1981, but was not held from 1984 through 1991. It returned in 1992 and was held annually through 2019. It was scheduled to be played in May 2020, but was cancelled in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. As part of several changes announced in May 2020 related to the pandemic, the tournament was eliminated along with the post-season tournaments of seven other sports, for at least four seasons. Kent State has won the most tournament titles with 12, followed by Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan with four each.

The Ohio Valley Conference has ten teams, but SIU Edwardsville was not eligible for postseason play. Austin Peay won their fifth Ohio Valley Championship by a score of 3–0 and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.

The Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles are the athletic teams that represent the University of Southern Indiana, located outside Evansville in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, in NCAA Division I intercollegiate sports. The 2017–18 SIU Edwardsville Cougars men's basketball team represented Southern Illinois University Edwardsville during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Cougars, led by third year head coach Jon Harris, played their home games at the Vadalabene Center in Edwardsville, Illinois as members of the Ohio Valley Conference. They finished the season 9–21, 5–13 in OVC play to finish in a three-way tie for ninth place. Due to Southeast Missouri State being ineligible for postseason play due to APR violations, the Cougars received the No. 8 seed in the OVC tournament where they lost in the first round to Tennessee Tech.

The 2019–20 Tennessee State Tigers basketball team represented Tennessee State University in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Tigers, led by second-year head coach Brian Collins, played their home games at the Gentry Complex in Nashville, Tennessee as members of the Ohio Valley Conference. They finished the season 18–15, 9–9 in OVC play to finish in a tie for fifth place. They defeated Morehead State in the first round of the OVC tournament before losing in the quarterfinals to Eastern Kentucky. They accepted an invitation to participate in the 2020 CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament and were set to host a first-round game. However, the CIT was cancelled amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2021 Ohio Valley Conference women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Ohio Valley Conference held from October 29 through November 7, 2021. The first round and quarterfinals of the tournament were held at campus sites hosted by the #3 and #4 seeds, while the semifinals and final took place at Skyhawk Soccer Field in Martin, Tennessee. The eight-team single-elimination tournament consisted of four rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The SIU Edwardsville Cougars were the defending champions and successfully defended their crown by defeating top seeded UT Martin in the final. The conference tournament title was the fourth for the SIU Edwardsville women's soccer program, all of which have come under head coach Derek Burton. As tournament champions, SIU Edwardsville earned the Ohio Valley's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.

The 2022 Ohio Valley Conference baseball tournament will be held from May 25 through 28. The top eight regular season finishers will meet in the double-elimination tournament, to be held at Wild Health Field in Lexington, Kentucky. The tournament champion will earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball tournament Among current members, Austin Peay has won the most championships, with six, while Belmont, SIU Edwardsville, and UT Martin have never won championships. The Tournament began in 1979.
