Driver changes

Mahaveer Raghunathan returned to MP Motorsport after his one-race ban, replacing Patricio O'Ward. After leaving Campos Racing after the Paul Ricard round, Dorian Boccolacci returned to the series at Trident replacing Ryan Tveter.

Muhammad Sean Ricardo Gelael is an Indonesian racing driver. He will be competing for the 2020 FIA Formula 2 Championship, racing for DAMS alongside Dan Ticktum.

Antonio Giovinazzi Italian racing driver

Antonio Giovinazzi is an Italian racing driver currently competing in Formula One for Alfa Romeo Racing. He was the 2015 FIA Formula 3 European Championship runner-up and raced with Prema in the 2016 International GP2 Series, again finishing runner-up with five wins and eight overall podiums. Giovinazzi was chosen by Scuderia Ferrari to be their third and reserve driver for the 2017 season. He made his competitive debut for Sauber at the 2017 Australian Grand Prix, replacing the injured Pascal Wehrlein. He also replaced Wehrlein at the following Chinese Grand Prix as Wehrlein continued his recovery. Giovinazzi signed a contract to race full-time for Alfa Romeo Racing in 2019.

2020 FIA Formula 2 Championship

The 2020 FIA Formula 2 Championship is a planned motor racing championship for Formula 2 cars that is sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The championship is the fifty-fourth season of Formula 2 racing and the fourth season run under the FIA Formula 2 Championship moniker. It is an open-wheel racing category that serves as the second tier of formula racing in the FIA Global Pathway. The category is scheduled to be run in support of selected rounds of the 2020 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. As the championship is a spec series, all teams and drivers competing in the championship will run the same car, the Dallara F2 2018.

2019 Diriyah ePrix Formula E Race

The 2019 Diriyah ePrix(formally the 2019 ABB FIA Formula E SAUDIA Diriyah ePrix) was a pair Formula E electric car race held at the Riyadh Street Circuit in the town of Diriyah, north-west of Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia on 22 and 23 November 2019; the first race was held on 22 November and the second on 23 November. It formed the first and second rounds the first round of the 2019–20 Formula E season, the second edition of the Diriyah ePrix. The first race was won by Sam Bird with Andre Lotterer and Stoffel Vandoorne completing the podium.
