Serena and Venus Williams defeated Andrea Hlaváčková and Lucie Hradecká in the final, 7–5, 6–4 to win the ladies' doubles tennis title at the 2012 Wimbledon Championships. It was the Williams sisters' fifth Wimbledon title together, and their 13th major doubles title together overall.
Eleni Daniilidou and Vitalia Diatchenko were the defending champions, but decided not to defend their title together. Daniilidou played with Eva Birnerová, but lost in the first round to Lyudmyla Kichenok and Nadiya Kichenok.

It took place at the True Arena Hua Hin in Hua Hin, Thailand, from 28 January 2019 to 3 February 2019.

Tímea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic defeated Duan Yingying and Zheng Saisai in the final, 6–2, 6–3 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2019 French Open.
Hsieh Su-wei and Barbora Strýcová defeated Gabriela Dabrowski and Xu Yifan in the final, 6−2, 6−4 to win the ladies' doubles tennis title at the 2019 Wimbledon Championships. With the win, Strýcová attained the WTA no. 1 doubles ranking for the first time – Kristina Mladenovic, Elise Mertens and Ashleigh Barty were also in contention for the top ranking. Hsieh and Strýcová won the title without losing a set during the tournament.
