Moshe Arens was an Israeli aeronautical engineer, researcher, diplomat, and Likud politician. A member of the Knesset between 1973 and 1992 and again from 1999 until 2003, he served as Minister of Defense three times and once as Minister of Foreign Affairs. Arens also served as the Israeli ambassador to the U.S. and was a professor at the Technion in Haifa.

Rivlin was Minister of Communications from 2001 to 2003, and subsequently served as Speaker of the Knesset from 2003 to 2006 and 2009 to 2013. On 10 June 2014, he was elected President of Israel. His term ended on 7 July 2021.

Benjamin Gantz is an Israeli politician and retired army general who has served as minister without portfolio since 2023. Gantz also served as Minister of Defense between 2020 and 2022 and as deputy prime minister between 2021 and 2022. From 2020 to 2021, he was the alternate prime minister.

Yair Golan is an Israeli politician and senior military officer. He served as the Deputy Minister of Economy in the Thirty-sixth Israeli government, and served as a Member of the Knesset representing Meretz from 2019–2022. He is a reserve major general (Aluf) in the Israel Defense Forces. During his military service he served, among other roles, as the IDF Deputy Chief of Staff, Commander of the Home Front Command and Commander of the Northern Command.

Ofer Cassif is a far-left Israeli politician who has represented Hadash in the Knesset since April 2019.

Legislative elections were held in Israel on 23 March 2021 to elect the 120 members of the 24th Knesset. It was the fourth Knesset election in two years, amidst the continued political deadlock following the previous three elections in April 2019, September 2019 and 2020. Yair Lapid and Naftali Bennett announced that they had formed a rotation government on 2 June 2021, which was approved on 13 June 2021.

Akevot Institute for Israeli-Palestinian Conflict Research is a non-governmental, non-profit, human rights organization based in Haifa, Israel. Akevot means tracks or footprints in Hebrew. The organization was founded in 2014 with the goal of "breaking conflict-enhancing myths, fostering fact-based discourse, and supporting the work of human rights defenders" using archives. Akevot locates, digitizes and catalogues various forms of documentation on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and makes relevant archival records available for the litigation, research and advocacy of human rights organizations, while working to expand public access to Israeli government archives and confront restricting policies.
