Moshe Arens was an Israeli aeronautical engineer, researcher, diplomat, and Likud politician. A member of the Knesset between 1973 and 1992 and again from 1999 until 2003, he served as Minister of Defense three times and once as Minister of Foreign Affairs. Arens also served as the Israeli ambassador to the U.S. and was a professor at the Technion in Haifa.

Rivlin was Minister of Communications from 2001 to 2003, and subsequently served as Speaker of the Knesset from 2003 to 2006 and 2009 to 2013. On 10 June 2014, he was elected President of Israel. His term ended on 7 July 2021.

Herbert Pundik or Nahum Pundak was a Danish-Israeli journalist and author. He worked for the newspaper Information and as a correspondent for Danmarks Radio. Since 1965, he worked for the newspaper Politiken, from 1970 to 1993 as executive editor. Under his leadership Politiken went from sloping sales figures to becoming the largest daily newspaper in Denmark.

Uri Avnery was a German-born Israeli writer, journalist, politician, and activist, who founded the Gush Shalom peace movement. A member of the Irgun as a teenager and a veteran of the 1948 Palestine war, Avnery sat for two terms in the Knesset from 1965 to 1974 and from 1979 to 1981. He was also the owner and editor of the news magazine HaOlam HaZeh from 1950 until its closure in 1993.

Ofer Cassif is an Israeli politician who has represented Hadash in the Knesset since April 2019. Domestic media sources have referred to him as "far-left". He provoked domestic controversy in 2024 for his acceptance of the legitimacy of charges of genocide made against the current Government of Israel before the International Court of Justice. This led to a six-month suspension from the Knesset on 7 November 2024, one of the most severe parliamentary sanctions imposed in recent years.
