The boys' singles of the tournament 2022 BWF World Junior Championships is an individual badminton tournament to crowned the best boys' singles under 19 player across the BWF associate members around the world. Players will compete to win the Eye Level Cup presented by the former BWF President and chairman of the World Youth Culture Foundation, Kang Young Joong. [1] The tournament will be held from 24 to 30 October 2022 in the Palacio de Deportes de Santander, Spain. [2] The defending champion was Kunlavut Vitidsarn from Thailand, but he was not eligible to participate this year. [3]

The BWF World Junior Championships is a tournament organized by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) to crown the best junior badminton players (under-19) in the world. The championships is held annually and consists of two separate competitions: a mixed team championships followed by an individual championships.
Viktor Axelsen is a Danish badminton player who is the current number one ranked men's singles player in the world. He is a two-time World Champion and reigning Olympic Champion, having won at the 2020 Olympics.
Kento Momota is a Japanese badminton player. He is known to have a skillful and relentless play style on court. He has won several major badminton tournaments including two World Championships titles, two Asian Championships titles, and one All England title. Momota entered into Guinness Book of World Records for "The most badminton men's singles titles in a season", for his achievements by winning 11 titles in the 2019 season.
Jeon Hyeok-jin is a Korean badminton player. Specializing in singles, he was runner-up at the 2013 Asian Junior Badminton Championships. He was part of the Korean team that won men's team gold at the 2014 Asian Games and the following year, he beat both Chou Tien-chen and compatriot Son Wan-ho to win gold at the 2015 Summer Universiade. In 2017, he helped the Korean national team to win the world team championships at the Sudirman Cup.
Shi Yuqi is a Chinese badminton player. Shi won his first Superseries title in the 2016 French Open. At the 2017 All England Open, he defeated 6-time champion Lin Dan to reach the final, and repeated the same feat again at the 2018 All England Open, where he outclassed Lin Dan in the tournament final. He also won a silver medal at the 2018 World Championships.
Yuta Watanabe is a Japanese badminton player. He is a member of the Nihon Unisys team, and national team A representative. Known for his quick and explosive movements with signature drop shots on court, Watanabe has won the mixed doubles bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics, as well as being three-times BWF World Championships medalists.
Shesar Hiren Rhustavito is an Indonesian badminton player who affiliate with Djarum club. He won four consecutives Indonesia International tournament, two times at the USM International in Semarang, and two times at the Victor International in Surabaya. Rhustavito was part of the Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup.
Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo is an Indonesian professional badminton player. He was a World junior silver medalist in 2016 and Asian Championships bronze medalist in 2022. Dwi Wardoyo also part of Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup.
Lakshya Sen is an Indian badminton player. Sen is a former world junior no. 1. He has won gold medals at the 2018 Asian Junior Championships in the boys' singles and at the Summer Youth Olympics in the mixed team event. He won the bronze medal at the 2021 World Championships and was runner-up at the 2022 All England Open. Sen was also a part of the Indian team which won the 2022 Thomas Cup. He also won the gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Kantaphon Wangcharoen is a Thai badminton player. At the young age, Wangcharoen became the runner-up in the senior tournament 2014 Singapore International in the men's singles event after losing the match because of foot injury. Wangcharoen clinched the bronze medal at the World Junior Championships in the boys' singles event, also part of the junior team that won the mixed team bronze in 2014 and 2016, and Asian mixed team bronze in 2016.
Leong Jun Hao is a Malaysian badminton player. He was the boys' singles champion at the 2017 Asia Junior Championships. This achievement was followed by a silver medal at World Junior Championships.
Kunlavut Vitidsarn is a Thai badminton player. He is the current men's singles World Champion as he won the gold medal at the 2023 World Championships. He was also three-times World Junior champion, winning in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Vitidsarn became the first men's singles player to win three World Junior Championships titles, joining Ratchanok Intanon and Chen Qingchen as a three-time winner of the World Junior title in the same discipline. He claimed the gold medal at the Asian Junior Championships in 2019, where he previously won a silver in 2018 and bronze in 2017. Vitidsarn participated at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics, and was part of the team Omega took the silver medal in the mixed team event. He was named the 2020/2021 Eddy Choong Most Promising Player. In the senior category, he won the silver medal at the 2022 World Championships and, in the following year, the gold medal at the 2023 World Championships. He became the first Thai player to win the World Championships title in the men's singles category.

The defending champions were Feng Yanzhe and Lin Fangling from China, but they were not eligible to participate this year.
