All eight baseball-sponsoring schools in the conference will participate in the double-elimination tournament to be held at Missouri State's Hammons Field in Springfield, Missouri. The winner of the tournament will earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. [2] [3]

Seeding and format

The league's eight teams will be seeded based on conference winning percentage. The four lowest seeds will participate in a play-in round with the winners advancing to a six-team double-elimination bracket.

The defending champions were the Loyola Ramblers, who successfully defended their title by defeating Evansville 4–0 in the final. The championship was also the fourth in a row for the Loyola program. The top six of the league's seven teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at Nischwitz Stadium in Fairborn, Ohio, home field of Wright State. The winner of the tournament earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.

The 2022 Mid-American Conference baseball tournament was held from May 25 through 29. The top four regular season finishers of the league's eleven teams met in the double-elimination tournament to be held at Ball Diamond in Muncie, Indiana, the home field of Ball State who finished 2022 with the highest regular season winning percentage. Second-seeded Central Michigan won the tournament and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.
