The 2022 Big South Conference baseball tournament will be held from May 25 through 28. The top six regular season finishers of the conference's eleven teams will meet in the double-elimination tournament to be held at Truist Point in High Point, North Carolina. The tournament champion will earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. [2] [3]

Seeding and format

The top six finishers of the league's eleven teams qualify for the double-elimination tournament. Teams are seeded based on conference winning percentage, with the first tiebreaker being head-to-head record.

Gray–Minor Stadium is a 1,400-seat facility home to the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) Keydets baseball team in Lexington, Virginia. It is named after Elmon T. Gray and Gil Minor, graduates of VMI in 1946 and 1963, respectively.

The 2012 Big South men's basketball tournament took place February 27, 29, March 1, and March 3, 2012. The semifinals were televised on ESPNU, and the championship on ESPN2. Megan Baltzell is an American, former collegiate All-American softball catcher. She played her college career for the Longwood Lancers from 2012 to 2015 and set various school records. She is the Big South Conference career leader in slugging percentage and walks in only three seasons. She was a member of the 2016 Women's National Baseball Team and currently plays slow pitch with the women's national Team Easton. She is also one of nine NCAA Division I players to hit a career .400 with at least 200 RBIs, 50 home runs and an .800% slugging percentage for her career.

The 2015 Big South Conference men's soccer tournament was the 32nd edition of the tournament. It determined the Big South Conference's automatic berth into the 2015 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship.

The 2016–17 Winthrop Eagles men's basketball team represented Winthrop University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles, led by fifth-year head coach Pat Kelsey, played their home games at the Winthrop Coliseum in Rock Hill, South Carolina as members of the Big South Conference. They finished the season 26–7, 15–3 in Big South play to finish in a tie for the regular season Big South championship. As the No. 1 seed in the Big South tournament, they defeated Charleston Southern, Gardner–Webb, and Campbell to win the tournament championship. As a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, their first bid since 2010. In the NCAA Tournament, they lost in the first round to Butler.

The 2016 Big South Conference women's soccer tournament is the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Big South Conference to be held from October 28 to November 6, 2016. The seven match tournament will be held at campus sites, with the semifinals and final held at Bryan Park in Greensboro, North Carolina. The eight team single-elimination tournament will consist of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Liberty Flames are the defending tournament champions, after defeating the Campbell Lady Camels in the championship match.

They finished the season 19–12, 12–6 in Big South play to finish in a tie for second place. The 2022 Big South Conference men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Big South Conference for the 2021–22 season. It was held from March 2–6, 2022, with all tournament games played at the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina. This was the first time since the 2016 edition that the tournament was held at a single neutral site location. The tournament winner, Longwood, received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The defending champions were the Winthrop Eagles.

The four team-team single-elimination tournament consisted of two rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. High Point were the defending champions, and they were unable to defend their crown, as they failed to qualify for the tournament, finishing in fifth place. Radford won the tournament with a 3–0 victory over USC Upstate in the Final. The conference tournament title was the eighth for the Radford women's soccer program, all of which have come under head coach Ben Sohrabi. As tournament champions, Radford earned the Big South's automatic berth into the 2022 NCAA Division I women's soccer tournament.
