The 2022 Sun Belt Conference Baseball Tournament will be held at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, Alabama from May 24th to May 29th, 2022. The tournament will again use a double-elimination format. The winner of the tournament will earn the Sun Belt Conference's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. [2]

Seeding

In a change from previous years, the top ten teams (based on conference results) from the conference earn invites to the tournament. The teams will be seeded based on conference winning percentage, with the bottom four seeds competing in a play-in round. The remaining eight teams will then play a two bracket, double-elimination tournament. The winner of each bracket will play a championship final. [3]

All games played on Tuesday, May 24th are single elimination. The lowerseeded first round winner will advance to play the No. 1 seed, while the higher-seeded first round winner will face the No. 2 seed.

Single-elimination round

The Sun Belt Conference announced on Wednesday, May 25th that the tournament would go from a double elimination bracket to a single elimination bracket due to significant weather delay on Wednesday, May 25th. [4]

Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament

The Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament is the conference tournament in baseball for the Southeastern Conference (SEC). It is a partially double-elimination tournament and seeding is based on regular season conference records. The winner receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. The SEC Tournament champion is separate from the conference champion. The conference championship is determined solely by regular season record.

The Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament, sometimes referred to simply as the ACC Tournament, is the conference championship tournament in baseball for the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The tournament returned to the double-elimination format used prior to the two year experiment with pool play in 2011 and 2012. Florida Atlantic won their first tournament championship and earned the Sun Belt Conference's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. Florida Atlantic joined the conference in 2006, and left for Conference USA after the 2013 season.

2014 Sun Belt Conference Baseball Tournament

The 2014 Sun Belt Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Eddie Stanky Field on the campus of the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama from May 21 to May 25, 2014. The tournament used a double-elimination format. Louisiana–Lafayette won the tournament, earning the Sun Belt Conference's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. The league was expected to divide into two six team divisions for 2014, but due to the departures of three baseball playing schools the plan was shelved, possibly to be implemented in 2015 with the additions of Appalachian State and Georgia Southern.

The 2014 Mountain West Conference Baseball Tournament took place from May 21–25. All seven of the league's teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at University of Nevada, Las Vegas's Earl E. Wilson Stadium. This is San Jose State's first year in the league after joining from the Western Athletic Conference. San Diego State won the tournament, earning the Mountain West's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2015 Mountain West Conference Baseball Tournament will take place from May 21–25. All seven of the league's teams will meet in the double-elimination tournament to be held at University of Nevada, Reno's William Peccole Park. The winner of the tournament will earn the Mountain West Conference's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2015 Sun Belt Conference Baseball Tournament will be held at Riddle–Pace Field on the campus of the Troy University in Troy, Alabama from May 20th to May 24th, 2015. The tournament will again use a double-elimination format. The winner of the tournament will earn the Sun Belt Conference's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2016 Sun Belt Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Bobcat Ballpark on the campus of the Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas from May 25 to May 29, 2015. The tournament used a double-elimination format. The winner of the tournament earned Sun Belt Conference's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2016 Mountain West Conference Baseball Tournament will take place from May 25–29. All seven of the league's teams will meet in the double-elimination tournament to be held at University of New Mexico's Santa Ana Star Field. The winner of the tournament will earn the Mountain West Conference's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2017 Sun Belt Conference Baseball Tournament was held at J. I. Clements Stadium on the campus of Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia from May 24 to May 28, 2017, using a double-elimination format. The winner of the tournament earned the Sun Belt Conference's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2019 Sun Belt Conference Softball Tournament was held at the Bobcat Softball Complex on the campus of the Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, from May 8 to May 11, 2019. The tournament used a double-elimination format for the tournament as in past years. Louisiana, the winner of the tournament, earned the Sun Belt Conference's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament.

The current host of the tournament is Texas State University at Bobcat Softball Stadium.

The 2022 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament will be held from May 25 through May 29 at Fluor Field at the West End in Greenville, South Carolina. The annual event determines the conference champion of the Division I Southern Conference in college baseball. The tournament winner earns the league's bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. This is the last of 20 athletic championships held by the conference in the 2021–22 academic year.
