The 2023 British Cycling National Track Championships were a series of track cycling competitions. The National Track Championships (excluding certain events) were held from 26 to 29 January 2023 at the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome in Newport, Wales. [1] They are organised and sanctioned by British Cycling, and are open to British cyclists. [2]
Emma Finucane was the star of the Championships after winning four gold medals across the disciplines. [3]
The Derny, Omnium, Madison, Tandem and Elimination events take place at various other dates throughout the year.

The British National Track Championships are held annually and organised by British Cycling. The main events are various track cycling disciplines for elite athletes to determine the British national champions. However, competitions are also held in age and disability categories.
Catherine Rachel "Katie" Prankerd is a Welsh former professional road and track cyclist.
The British National Derny Championships are annual bicycle races held in the United Kingdom.
Alexandra Greenfield is a Welsh former road and track cyclist from Barry. She began competing at a young age with the Maindy Flyers children's cycle club before joining Cardiff Ajax CC. Greenfield holds the record for the 5 km Tandem Standing Start event on the track along with Katie Curtis, with a time of 7 minutes 4.424 seconds. The record was set in Newport Velodrome on 10 June 2004. She transitioned from Wiggle High5's former technical director and assistant directeur sportif, to be Cycling New Zealand's women's endurance assistant coach by mid-2018.

The European Track Cycling Championships are a set of elite level competition events held annually for the various disciplines and distances in track cycling, exclusively for European cyclists, and regulated by the European Cycling Union (UEC). They were first held in their current format in 2010, when elite level cyclists competed for the first time following an overhaul of European track cycling.
Revolution is a series of track cycling events primarily held at the Manchester Velodrome in the north west of England. It was solely held in Manchester between 2003 and 2012. From Season 10 (2012–2013) meetings have been held additionally at the new UK velodromes; in the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, Glasgow, the Olympic Velodrome, London from Season 11 (2013–2014) and the Derby Arena from 2015 to 2016.
Dame Laura Rebecca Kenny, OLY is a British professional track and road cyclist who specialises in track endurance events, specifically the team pursuit, omnium, scratch race, elimination race and madison disciplines. With six Olympic medals, having won both the team pursuit and the omnium at both the 2012 and 2016 Olympics and madison at the 2020 Olympics, along with a silver medal from the team pursuit at the 2020 Olympics, she is both the most successful female cyclist, and the most successful British female athlete, in Olympic history.
Danielle 'Dani' Rowe MBE is a British former road and track cyclist. She retired from cycling in December 2018.
Hannah Rich is a Welsh racing cyclist from Undy near Caldicot, Monmouthshire, Wales. Rich represented Wales in the Women's points and scratch races at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, where she finished 14th and 6th respectively.
Neah Evans is a Scottish professional racing cyclist specialising in track endurance events. Representing Great Britain at the Olympic Games, European Championships and World Championships, and Scotland at the Commonwealth Games, Evans is an Olympic medalist in the team pursuit, a World points race champion, a six-time European champion in team pursuit (4), individual pursuit and the madison, and a Commonwealth Games medalist.

The 2018–19 Six Day Series (also known as the Six Day Cycling Series is a multi six-day track cycling race tournament over a season. It is the 3rd series organised by the Madison Sports Group. This season consists of 7 events across 5 countries.

However, following further issues regarding the COVID-19 pandemic the event was rescheduled for 3 March to 6 March.
