The 2023 Duleep Trophy was the 60th edition of the Duleep Trophy, a domestic first-class cricket competition that was played in India. [1] It took place from 28 June to 16 July 2023. [2] The tournament was played across six zones, forming part of the 2023 Indian domestic cricket season, announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in April 2023. [3] [4] West Zone were the defending champions. [5] [6] In the final, South Zone defeated West Zone by 75 runs to win their 14th title. [7]

The Duleep Trophy, also known as IDFC First Bank Duleep trophy due to sponsorship reasons, is a domestic first-class cricket competition played in India. First edition was in 1961-62, named after former cricketer Duleepsinhji, the competition was largely contested by 6 teams representing various geographical zones of India with few exceptions and special invitees. The 2021–22 Ranji Trophy was the 87th season of the Ranji Trophy, the premier first-class cricket tournament in India. The tournament was split into two phases, with the league stage being played from 17 February to 15 March 2022, and the knockout phase played from 6 to 26 June 2022. Due to the delayed start of the tournament because of the COVID-19 pandemic, teams were split into eight Elite groups, instead of five as per previous editions, and the Plate Group. The seven teams that won their Elite Group with the best points progressed to the knockout phase. They were joined by the winner of the pre-quarter-final match between the Elite Group winning team with the fewest points and the winner of the Plate Group.

The 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy was the twentieth season of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, a List A cricket tournament that was played in India. It was contested by 38 teams, divided into six groups, with six teams in Group B. The tournament was announced by the BCCI on 3 July 2021. The 2023–24 Irani Cup also known as IDFC First Bank Irani Cup due to sponsorship reason, was the sixtieth edition of the Irani Cup, a first-class cricket tournament in India, organised by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It took place from 1 to 5 October 2023. It was played as a one-off match between Saurashtra, the winners of the 2022–23 Ranji Trophy, and a Rest of India cricket team.

The 2023–24 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was the sixteenth edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, an annual Twenty20 tournament in India. Played from 16 October to 6 November 2023, it was contested by all 38 Ranji Trophy teams and won by Punjab, their first title. In the final, they defeated Baroda by 20 runs. All 38 senior state teams were divided into five groups, with eight teams in three groups, and seven teams in two groups. The tournament formed part of the 2023–24 Indian domestic cricket season as announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in April 2023. Mumbai were the defending champions. They were eliminated in the quarter-finals.

The 2023–24 Senior Women's T20 Trophy was the 15th edition of the Senior Women's T20 Trophy, the domestic women's T20 competition in India. It took place from 19 October to 9 November 2023, with 37 teams divided into five groups. The tournament formed part of the 2023–24 Indian domestic cricket season, announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in April 2023. Railways, the defending champions, were eliminated in the quarterfinals.
