Anustup Majumdar (born 30 April 1984) is an Indian first-class cricketer who plays for Bengal. [1] He was born in Chinsurah and spent his early life there before moving onto Liluah. He plays for the Mohun Bagan cricket team in the CAB division. He is a right-hand batsman and leg-break bowler. He was a part of Pune Warriors squad in the Indian Premier League. [2] Majumdar has played for India A cricket team in 2012. He was instrumental in the Bengal squad of 2019–2020 ranji trophy,where he scored a crucial 149 in the semi-finals against Karnataka in Eden gardens to reach 311 1st innings total and eventually went on to play the finals against Saurastra. This knock is remembered as one of the best in Bengal's Ranji Trophy history.
He was the leading run-scorer for Bengal in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy,with 560 runs in six matches. [3]
Laxmi Ratan Shukla,is a former Indian cricketer and politician. He played as a right-handed middle-order batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler for the Bengal cricket team. He was also a player in the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders,Delhi Daredevils,and the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He was a member of the legislative assembly of West Bengal representing the All India Trinamool Congress. He resigned from the ministry on 5 January 2021.

He is the current first class captain of Tripura Cricket Team in domestic cricket and wicket keeper for Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League. The 2017–18 Ranji Trophy was the 84th season of the Ranji Trophy,the premier first-class cricket tournament that took place in India between October 2017 and January 2018. Vidarbha won the tournament,beating Delhi by 9 wickets in the final,to win their first Ranji Trophy title. Vidarbha made their Ranji Trophy debut in the 1957–58 season,making it the third-longest wait before a team won their maiden title. Vidarbha's captain,Faiz Fazal,said that "winning the Ranji Trophy has been the biggest achievement in my career".
