2023 Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union was Sweden's third presidency of the Council held between 1 January and 30 June 2023. Sweden held the first presidency from 1 January until 30 June 2001. and the second presidency from 1 July until 31 December 2009.
Sweden is part of the 11th Presidency Trio, together with France and Czech Republic. This trio is the first in the second cycle of presidencies. [1] Head of the presidency was Tobias Billström, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden.
