The BWF Super Series was a series of Grade 2 badminton tournaments, sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). It was launched on December 14, 2006 and implemented in 2007.
The BWF Super Series Finals was an annual badminton tournament held at the end of the year where the players with the most points from that calendar year's twelve events of the BWF Super Series competed for total prize money of at least US$ 1,000,000. It was replaced by BWF World Tour Finals in 2018.
The BWF World Ranking is the official ranking of the Badminton World Federation for badminton players who participate in tournaments sanctioned by Badminton World Federation. It is used to determine the qualification for the World Championships and Summer Olympic Games, as well as BWF World Tour tournaments. Seedings of draws at all BWF-sanctioned tournaments are conducted using the BWF World Ranking. Players under 19 years of age are eligible to rank in the BWF World Junior Ranking, which were introduced in January 2011. The following lists are the rankings:
The BWF World Tour is a Grade 2 badminton tournament series, sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). It is a competition open to the top world ranked players in singles and doubles. The competition was announced on 19 March 2017 and came into effect starting from 2018, replacing the BWF Super Series, which was held from 2007 to 2017.
The 2018 Indonesia Masters, officially the Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2018, was a badminton tournament which took place at Istora Gelora Bung Karno in Jakarta, Indonesia, from 23 to 28 January 2018 and had a total prize of US$350,000.
The 2018 Lingshui China Masters was a badminton tournament which took place at Agile Stadium in China from 10 to 15 April 2018 and had a total purse of $75,000.
The BWF World Tour Finals, officially HSBC BWF World Tour Finals, which succeeds BWF Super Series Finals, is an annual season finale badminton tournament which is held every December of a year where the players with the most points from that calendar year's events of the BWF World Tour compete for total prize money of at least US$ 2,500,000.
The 2018 Spain Masters was a badminton tournament which took place at Pavelló de la Vall d'Hebron in Barcelona, Spain, from 28 August to 2 September 2018 and had a total prize of $150,000.
The 2018 Fuzhou China Open was a badminton tournament which took place at Haixia Olympics Sports Center in Fuzhou, Fujian, China, from 6 to 11 November 2018 and had a total prize of $700,000.
The 2018 BWF World Tour Finals was the final tournament of the 2018 BWF World Tour. It was held from 12 to 16 December 2018 in Guangzhou, China and had a total prize of $1,500,000.
The 2019 Lingshui China Masters was a badminton tournament which took place at Agile Stadium in China from 12 to 17 March 2019 and had a total purse of $75,000.
The 2019 BWF World Tour Finals was the final tournament of the 2019 BWF World Tour. It was held from 11 to 15 December 2019 in Guangzhou, China and had a total prize of $1,500,000.
The 2020 Denmark Open was a badminton tournament which took place at the Odense Sports Park in Denmark from 13 to 18 October 2020. It had a total purse of $750,000. Some badminton powerhouse countries such as China, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand did not send their representatives to the event in the light of the COVID 19 pandemic, causing a less competitive event in which most top players did not participate. Some Japanese players, including Kento Momota, did not participate as well.
The 2020 BWF World Tour Finals was the final tournament of the 2020 BWF World Tour. It was held from 27 to 31 January 2021 in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand and had a total prize of $1,500,000.
The 2021 BWF World Tour Finals was the final tournament of the 2021 BWF World Tour. It was held from 1 to 5 December 2021 in Bali, Indonesia and had a total prize of $1,500,000.
The 2023 Kaohsiung Masters, officially the Victor Kaohsiung Masters 2023, was a badminton tournament which took place at the Kaohsiung Arena in Kaohsiung, Taiwan from 26 September to 1 October 2023 and had a total prize of $100,000.
The 2024 Ruichang China Masters is a badminton tournament that will take place at the Ruichang Sports Park Gym, Ruichang, China, from 19 to 24 March 2024 and has a total prize of US$120,000.
The 2024 Japan Open is a badminton tournament which will take place at Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, Japan, from 20 August to 25 August 2024 and had a total purse of $850,000.
The 2024 Canada Open is a badminton tournament which will take place at Markin-MacPhail Centre in Calgary, Canada, from 2 July to 7 July 2024 and had a total purse of $420,000.
The 2024 Kaohsiung Masters, officially the Victor Kaohsiung Masters 2024, was a badminton tournament which took place at the Kaohsiung Arena in Kaohsiung, Taiwan from 18 to 23 June 2024 and had a total prize of $100,000.
