The 2024 Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear is the 20th season of the Formula Car Challenge. It is a multi-event motor racing championship for single-seater open wheel formula racing cars held across the American west coast. The series is sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America.

Race calendar

The 2024 schedule was announced on 2 December 2023. [6] The season was to open with a one-round winter series at the Attesa Podium Club, but that event attracted no entries in the FCC's class. The eight-round main season will see the return of Portland International Raceway. [7]

Gateway Motorsports Park is a motorsport racing facility in Madison, Illinois, just east of St. Louis, close to the Gateway Arch. The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) is a North American sports car racing sanctioning body based in Daytona Beach, Florida, under the jurisdiction of the ACCUS arm of the FIA. It was started by John Bishop, a former executive director of SCCA, and his wife Peggy in 1969 with help from Bill France Sr. of NASCAR. Beginning in 2014, IMSA is the sanctioning body of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the premier series resulting from the merger of Grand-Am Road Racing and the American Le Mans Series. The VHT S5000 Australian Drivers' Championship was an open-wheel road racing series in Australia. The series was created by a merger between two proposed series, Formula Thunder 5000 and Super5000. The series was promoted by the Australian Racing Group.

The 2020 Formula Regional Americas Championship powered by Honda was the third season for the FIA Formula 3 regional series across North America. The series was sanctioned by SCCA Pro Racing, the professional racing division of the Sports Car Club of America. The 2020 season was first season under the moniker of Formula Regional Americas, after a rebranding to align with the FIA single-seater development pathway. Linus Lundqvist won the championship, finishing 118 points in front of runner-up David Malukas, meanwhile Global Racing Group dominated the team's championship.

The 2023 Formula Pro USA Western Series was the fourth season of the championship for Formula Regional and Formula 4 cars established in the West Coast of the United States. The championship was promoted and organized by Exclusive Racing and Exclusive Auctions, and ran under the same sporting regulations as the FIA-sanctioned Formula Regional Americas Championship and Formula 4 United States Championship.

The 2024 Formula Pro USA Western Series is the fifth season of the championship for Formula Regional and Formula 4 cars established in the West Coast of the United States. The championship is promoted and organized by Exclusive Racing and Exclusive Auctions, and will run under the same sporting regulations as the FIA-sanctioned Formula Regional Americas Championship and Formula 4 United States Championship.
