The 2024 IFAF World Junior Championship (7th) was a scheduled international American football tournament for junior teams (20 years and under). The competition was co-hosted by Football Canada and Football Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta in June 2024. [1] Although Football Canada had won the most IFAF World Junior Championships with three prior to the tournament, the country has not hosted the event since it started in 2009.

In November 2023, IFAF announced that nine nations qualified for the tournament: [2]

A tentative qualification fixture was scheduled for February 2024 with Flag of Brazil.svg  Brazil and Flag of Panama.svg  Panama to determine the top South American qualifier.

On 22 January 2024 the Edmonton Local Organizing committee announced that Canada, United States, Japan, Austria, Australia, Panama, Brazil and a undetermined team had stated their intention to compete June 20-30. [3] [4] [5] The eventual additional team would be a "B team" from Canada known as Canada II.

This article describes the qualification for the 2015 IFAF World Championship. The final tournament was to be contested by twelve teams, but five teams that later qualify withdrew from the tournament. Sweden qualified automatically as original hosts of the tournament but was among the teams that withdrew. The United States hosted the tournament instead and would have still automatically qualified as the defending world champions if Sweden did not withdraw from the tournament.

The 2018 European Championship was the 14th European Championship in American football. The final tournament was played in Vantaa, Finland from 29 July to 4 August 2018.

The 2018 IFAF U-19 World Championship was an international American football tournament for junior teams that took place at Mexico City from July 15 to July 22. This was the first time that Mexico hosted an IFAF World Junior Championship competition.

The 2020 IFAF U-19 World Championship was scheduled as an international American football tournament for junior teams which would have taken place at Canton, Ohio from late June to early July 2020. This would have been the second time that Canton, Ohio hosted an IFAF World Junior Championship, the first being the inaugural 2009 IFAF U-19 World Championship.

The IFAF Junior World Championship or IFAF World Junior Cahmpionship is a biennial competition for American football which ran from 2009 to 2020 and was the precursor of the quadrennial IFAF U20 World Cup with the first event played in 2024 in Edmonton, Canada.

The 2023 European Championship was the 16th European Championship in American football. The preliminary round was played around Europe from 8 October to 5 November 2022. The final round was played in August and October 2023.
