The World University American Football Championship is an international college American football competition sponsored by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and sanctioned by the International Federation of American Football (IFAF). [1]

The 1st World University American Football Championship was held from May 1 to May 11, 2014 in Uppsala, Sweden.

The 2020 and 2022 championships were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. From 2022, the Championship will change formats, with university teams participating rather than National. [2]

The World University Orienteering Championships (WUOC) is a biannual orienteering competition organized by International University Sports Federation (FISU). Entry is open to athletes aged 17 to 25 who are enrolled in university either the year of or the year after the competition. Representative countries must be members of the International Orienteering Federation (IOF).

The 2010 World University Rugby Sevens Championship will be the fourth edition of the World University Championship (WUC) for rugby sevens national teams. This event took place on July 21–24, 2010, in Porto, Portugal, at the Estádio do Bessa. Under the supervision of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), this championship will be co-organized by the Portuguese university sports federation (FADU) and the University of Porto, whose bid was chosen by the FISU Executive Committee on January 15, 2007, following a 15–6 ballot win against a French bid.

The World University Rowing Championship is a competition sponsored by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and sanctioned by the International Rowing Federation (FISA), which was first held in 1984.

The World University Cross Country Championships is an international biennial cross country running competition for student athletes, organised by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The 2012 edition of the competition featured 76 male and 61 female athletes from 23 countries. Over the history of the event, 64 countries have competed but only three have been present at all editions of the championships.

The World University Cycling Championship is a competition sponsored by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), which was first held in 1978 in Antwerp, Belgium. Before 1978 there were also World University Championships, but these were not sponsored by the International University Sports Federation. The next edition will be held in Jelenia Gora, Poland in 2014. The championship last five days and could contain events in five cycling sports: road cycling, track cycling, mountainbike, BMX and Cyclo-Cross.

The International Federation of Muaythai Associations, or IFMA, called the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur until 27 July 2019, is the sole recognised sport governing body of amateur and professional Muay Thai and Muay boran consisting of 130 member countries worldwide with 5 continental federations after unification of International Federation of Muaythai Amateur and World Muaythai Council. The World University Squash Championship is the official international college competition in the game of squash conducted by the World Squash Federation (WSF), which was first held in 1996 in Maastricht in Netherlands.

The 2016 World University Cycling Championship was the 7th edition of the World University Cycling Championship. The tournament was hosted by the Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines (FESSAP), sponsored by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The championship proper took place in Tagaytay, Philippines from March 17–20, 2016 with the opening ceremonies held on March 16. It is the first FISU World University Cycling Championship to be held outside of Europe and the first in Asia.

Oleg Vasilyevich Matytsin is a Russian professor and doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Corresponding Member of Russian Academy of Education and Honoured Doctor of Beijing Sport University. He is currently Minister of Sport of Russia since 2020 and President of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) since 2015. He is also a member of the Presidential Council of the Russian Federation for the Development of Physical Culture and Sport, a member of the International Fair Play Committee and Honorary President of the Russian Students Sport Union (RSSU). Prior to becoming President of FISU, Matytsin played a crucial role in the development of the European University Sports Federation (EUSA), serving as Vice-President from 2007 to 2015.

The 2021 Summer Universiade, the XXXI Summer World University Games, commonly known as the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games, is a multi-sport event sanctioned by the International University Sports Federation (FISU), scheduled to be held from 28 July to 8 August 2023 in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. These will be the third edition of the Games to be hosted by China, and the first edition to be branded under the "Summer World University Games" title rather than "Summer Universiade".

The World University Handball Championship is the World University Championship (WUC) in handball competition contested by the men's and women's university's national teams of the member federations/associations of International University Sports Federation (FISU).

The South Korea national football B team was the selection of South Korean semi-professional footballers and college footballers. Most of the members were playing in the Korean Semi-professional Football League, the Korean University Football League or the Korea National League. It was run as the reserve team of the South Korea national football team, and is currently managed as the South Korea Universiade football team after Asia's minor competitions were in decline. The under-28 professionals and semi-professionals also can be selected for the Universiade team within two years of graduation from university.

The Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games, commonly known as Lake Placid 2023, is a collegiate multi-sport winter sports event being held from 12 to 22 January 2023 in Lake Placid, New York, United States. This event is also known as the 31st Winter Universiade as administered by the International University Sports Federation (FISU).

The 2018 World University Wushu Championships is the 1st World University Wushu Championship organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The competition consisted of taolu and sanda events.

Figure skating at the 2023 Winter World University Games is held on January 13–15 at the Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, New York, United States. Medals are awarded in men's singles, women's singles and ice dance.

The 2023 Russian Figure Skating Championships were held from 20 to 25 December 2022 in Krasnoyarsk. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pairs, and ice dance.
