The 2008 World University Squash Championship is the edition of the 2008's World University Squash, which serves as the individual world squash championship for students. The event took place in Cairo in Egypt from 22 August to 28 August.

Ong Beng Hee is a retired professional squash player and coach. Between 2000 and 2006, he won four consecutive Asian Championship titles. In 2002 and 2006 he won gold medals at the Asian Games. He won 11 Professional Squash Association (PSA) Tour titles out of 19 final appearances, and earned a world ranking of No. 7, a career-best. This record of achievements has made him Malaysia's most successful male squash player in history.

The WSF World Team Squash Championships are an international squash competition organised by the World Squash Federation (WSF) and played between teams representing different nations. Countries enter teams of three or four players to represent them in the championships. In each round of the competition, teams face each other in a best-of-three singles matches contest. The competition is held once every two years, with the venue changing each time. Normally the men's and women's events are held in different years in two locations.

The World Junior Squash championships are the official junior tournament in the game of squash conducted by the World Squash Federation (WSF). Entry is open to individuals aged 19 and below. Since its inception the world juniors has been held biennially with the junior men held one year, junior women the following year. The men's team event was held unofficially from 1973 to 1979. The individuals event are held annually starting from 2009 while the team event remains biennial.

The PSA World Tour Finals is the end of season championship of the PSA World Tour of male and female professional squash players. The top eight players in the current PSA World Tour is qualified for the event.

Campbell Grayson is a retired professional squash player who represented New Zealand. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 24 in February 2020.

The 2006 World University Squash Championship is the edition of the 2006's World University Squash, which serves as the individual world squash championship for students. The event will take place in Szeged, Hungary, from 28 August to 2 September.

The World Masters Squash Championships are an international squash competition organised by the World Squash Federation and played between players for athletes over the age of 35 years. World Masters are divided into ten categories — Over 35, Over 40, Over 45, Over 50, Over 55, Over 60, Over 65, Over 70, Over 75 and Over 80.

The 2001 Men's World Team Squash Championships took place between October 22 and October 28 in Australia.
