The 2024 Liga 3 season was the 8th edition under its current title and the 36th edition of third tier football in Georgia. The regular two-round tournament commenced on 7 March and ended on 7 December [1] with two-legged promotion play-offs completed on 16 December. Each team played thirty matches in as many rounds.

There were sixteen teams competing in the league this season. Five of them, namely Borjomi, Guria, Merani Martvili, Merani Tbilisi and Zestaponi had participated in the top tier with the latter being the two-time national champions. [2]

Gori had the longest tenure in the league with the 8th consecutive season while Meshakhte and Bakhmaro entered into the seventh year. On the other hand, Gonio were the only team to have made their debut in Liga 3.

Liga 3, organized by the Georgian Football Federation, is the third division of professional football in Georgia. Introduced for the 2017 season with the launch of the Erovnuli Liga, it is a rebrand of the former Meore Liga.

The 2011–12 Georgian Cup was the sixty-eighth season overall and the twenty-second since independence of the Georgian annual football tournament. The competition began on 17 August 2011 and ended with the final in May 2012. The defending champions were Gagra. The winner of the competition, Dila Gori, qualified for the second qualifying round of the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League.

The 2016 Georgian Cup is the twenty season overall and the twenty-seven since independence of the Georgian annual football tournament. The competition began on 15 August and finished on 22 November 2016.

The 2018 Erovnuli Liga 2 was the 30th season of second tier football in Georgia. The season began on 1 March 2018 and ended on 7 December 2018.

The 2020 Erovnuli Liga 2 was the 32nd season of second tier football in Georgia. The season began on 2 March 2020 and ended on 9 December 2020.Due to COVID-19 pandemic, each team will play 18 matches instead of the planned 36.
