The 2024 Liga 3 season is the 8th edition under its current title and the 36th edition of third tier football in Georgia. The regular two-round tournament commenced on 7 March and will end on 7 December [1] with two-legged promotion play-offs due to be completed in mid-December. Each team will play thirty matches in as many rounds.

There are sixteen teams competing in the league this season. Five of them, namely Borjomi, Guria, Merani Martvili, Merani Tbilisi and Zestaponi have participated in the top tier with the latter being the two-time national champions. [2]

Gori have the longest tenure in the league with the 8th consecutive season while Meshakhte and Bakhmaro entered into the seventh year. On the other hand, Gonio are the only team to have made their debut in Liga 3.

The Erovnuli Liga is the top division of professional top tier football in Georgia. Since 1990, it has been organized by the Professional Football League of Georgia and Georgian Football Federation. From 1927 to 1989, the competition was held as a regional tournament within the Soviet Union. From 2017, the Erovnuli Liga switched to a spring-autumn system, with only 10 clubs in the top flight.

Liga 3, organized by the Georgian Football Federation, is the third division of professional football in Georgia. Introduced for the 2017 season with the launch of the Erovnuli Liga, it is a rebrand of the former Meore Liga.

The 2011–12 Umaglesi Liga was the 23rd season of top-tier football in Georgia. It began on 6 August 2011 and ended on 21 May 2012. The league added two teams for this season, increasing its size from ten to twelve teams.

The 2014–15 Umaglesi Liga was the 26th season of top-tier football in Georgia. The season began on 9 August 2014 and ended on 27 May 2015.

The 2017 Erovnuli Liga 2 was the 29th season of second tier football in Georgia. The season began on 4 March 2017 and ended on 25 November 2017.

The 2018 Erovnuli Liga 2 was the 30th season of second tier football in Georgia. The season began on 1 March 2018 and ended on 7 December 2018.

The 2020 Erovnuli Liga or Crystalbet Erovnuli Liga 2020 was the 32nd season of top-tier football in Georgia. Dinamo Tbilisi were the defending champions. The season began on 29 February 2020 and ended on 10 December 2020. The league winner, Dinamo Tbilisi, earned a place in the UEFA Champions League and the second and third-placed clubs, Dinamo Batumi and Dila Gori respectively, earned a place in the new UEFA Europa Conference League.

The 2021 Erovnuli Liga 2 was the 5th season under its current title and the 33rd season of second tier football in Georgia. The season began on 1 March and ended on 3 December.

The 2021 Liga 3 was the fifth season under its current title and the 33rd season of third tier football in Georgia. The season began on 2 April and ended on 2 December.

The 2022 Liga 3 was the sixth season under its current title and the 34th season of third tier football in Georgia. The regular two-round tournament began on 4 April and ended on 1 December with promotion play-offs completed in 10 December.

The 2021 Liga 4 was the third season of fourth-tier football in Georgia under its current title. The season began on 30 March and ended on 22 November.

The 2022 Erovnuli Liga 2 was the sixth season under its current title and the 34th season of second-tier football in Georgia. The four-round competition began on 1 March and ended on 2 December with playoffs completed on 12 December.

The 2016 Pirveli Liga was the 28th and last season under the name Pirveli Liga before the division was reorganized into Erovnuli Liga 2. It began on 19 August and ended with relegation play-off finals on 10 December.

The 2020 Liga 4 was the second season of fourth-tier football in Georgia under its current title. The matches were supposed to begin in April, but due to the COVID-19 restrictions it was postponed until 15 August. The season ended on 18 December.

The 2024 Liga 4 season is the 6th edition of fourth-tier football in Georgia under its current title. It began on 2 April and will end on 27 November.
