The 2024 Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks baseball team represented the University of Maryland Eastern Shore during the 2024 NCAA Division I baseball season in the Northeastern Conference under first year head coach Danny Acosta. The Hawks played their home games at Hawk Stadium.

Contents

The Hawks failed to make the 2024 Northeastern Conference Tournament, placing last in the conference with a record of 0 wins and 48 losses. This also was the first time in NCAA Division 1 history that a team finished a full season winless. [2]

The 2024 season was the first season following the departure of Head Coach Brian Hollamon, who left the club in 2023. As a result of Hollamon's departure, the University hired Danny Acosta, who had spent the previous 4 seasons with Iowa Lakes Community College as their head coach. [3] Acosta posted a 4-44 record with Iowa Lakes during the 2023 season. [4]

The Central Oklahoma Bronchos football team represents the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) in college football. The team is a member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), which is in Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Bronchos football program began in 1902 and has since compiled over 600 wins, two national championships, and 27 conference championships. As of 2022, the Bronchos are ranked fifth in NCAA Division II for wins. In 1962, the Bronchos went 11–0 on the season and defeated Lenoir–Rhyne University (NC) 28–13 in the Camellia Bowl to claim its first NAIA national championship. The Bronchos have enjoyed nine undefeated home seasons and are 5–1 in playoff games at Wantland Stadium.

They finished the season 18–15, 11–5 in MEAC play to finish in third place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the MEAC tournament to Hampton. The 2022–23 Utah State Aggies men's basketball team represented Utah State University in the Mountain West Conference during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Led by second-year head coach Ryan Odom, the Aggies played their home games on campus at the Smith Spectrum in Logan, Utah. They finished the season 26–9, 13–5 in MWC play to finish in second place. They defeated New Mexico and Boise State in the MWC tournament to advance to the championship game. There they lost to San Diego State. The Aggies received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament as the No. 10 seed in the South region. There they lost to Missouri.

The 2023 NCAA Division I baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began on February 17, 2023. The regular season was followed by many conference tournaments and championship series, and the season concluded with the 2023 NCAA Division I baseball tournament and 2023 Men's College World Series. The Men's College World Series, consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA tournament and held annually in Omaha, Nebraska, at Charles Schwab Field Omaha, ended on June 26, 2023, with LSU winning the title.

The 2024 Iowa Hawkeyes baseball team will represent the University of Iowa during the 2024 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Hawkeyes will play their home games at Duane Banks Field as a member of the Big Ten Conference. They will be led by head coach Rick Heller, in his eleventh season with the program.
