The 2021 Phillip Island Trophy is a tournament on the 2021 WTA Tour, one of six events in the 2021 Melbourne Summer Series. It was played on outdoor hard courts in Melbourne, Australia. It was organised as a lead-up tournament to the 2021 Australian Open, and was held at the same venue, due to other tournaments in Australia being cancelled as a result from the COVID-19 pandemic. This tournament took place simultaneously with the second week of the 2021 Australian Open.

Misaki Doi and Natalia Vikhlyantseva were the defending champions but Doi chose not to participate. Vikhlyantseva played alongside Olga Govortsova but lost in the first round to Cornelia Lister and Erin Routliffe.

The 2022 Transylvania Open was a women's tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It was the second edition of the Transylvania Open, and part of the WTA 250 series of the 2022 WTA Tour. It was held at the BT Arena in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, from 10 until 16 October 2022.

It was the 32nd edition of the tournament, and part of the WTA 250 series of the 2023 WTA Tour. It was held at the Design Center Linz in Linz, Austria, from 6 to 12 February 2023. Due to scheduling issues, the October 2022 edition was delayed to February 2023 in order to attract top WTA players to compete in the tournament.

Anastasia Potapova defeated Petra Martić in the final, 6–3, 6–1 to win the singles tennis title at the 2023 Linz Open.

Petra Kvitová defeated Elena Rybakina in the final, 7–6(16–14), 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2023 Miami Open. It was Kvitová's first WTA 1000 title since the 2018 Madrid Open, and her 30th career title overall; she also became the first Czech player to win the title. Rybakina was attempting to complete the Sunshine Double, having already won the title at Indian Wells.

Aryna Sabalenka defeated Iga Świątek in the final, 6–3, 3–6, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2023 Madrid Open. It was her fifth WTA 1000 title. This marked the first time since 2013 that the top two seeds contested the Madrid Open final. It was also the first time since 2000 that the top two players on the WTA Tour contested back-to-back finals, after Świątek won in Stuttgart the week prior.

Elena Rybakina won the women's singles tennis title at the 2023 Italian Open after Anhelina Kalinina retired from the final with the scoreline at 6–4, 1–0. It was Rybakina's second career WTA 1000 title. Rybakina won three of her six matches at the tournament via retirement: over Anna Kalinskaya in the third round, Iga Świątek in the quarterfinals, and Kalinina in the final. With the win, Rybakina entered the top five in the WTA rankings for the first time at world No. 4.

Jeļena Ostapenko defeated Ekaterina Alexandrova in the final, 6–2, 6–3 to win the singles tennis title at the 2024 Linz Open. It was her eighth WTA singles title. She saved a match point in her second-round match against Clara Tauson.

Iga Świątek defeated Maria Sakkari in the final, 6–4, 6–0 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2024 Indian Wells Open. It was her eighth WTA 1000 and 19th career WTA Tour title, and she did not lose a set en route. Świątek became the first woman to win multiple titles at Indian Wells since Victoria Azarenka in 2016, and just the tenth woman to do so overall. She was the first player since Maria Sharapova in 2013 to win the title without dropping a set, and lost just 21 games throughout the entire tournament; this was the fewest since Steffi Graf lost 16 games in 1994. The final was a rematch of the 2022 final, which Świątek also won.

Danielle Collins defeated Elena Rybakina in the final, 7–5, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2024 Miami Open. It was her first WTA 1000 title, and her third WTA Tour title overall. Collins became the second unseeded woman to win the tournament, after Kim Clijsters in 2005. Ranked as the world No. 53, Collins became the lowest-ranked women's singles champion, the second lowest-ranked finalist in the tournament's history, and the oldest first-time WTA 1000 champion since Elena Vesnina at the 2017 Indian Wells Open. Collins lost only one set en route to the title, in the first round against Bernarda Pera. Rybakina lost 69 games en route to the final, the most on record.

Iga Świątek defeated defending champion Aryna Sabalenka in a rematch of the previous year's final, 7–5, 4–6, 7–6(9–7) to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2024 Madrid Open. She saved three championship points en route to her ninth WTA 1000 and 20th career WTA Tour title.

The 2024 Ningbo Open is a professional women's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It is the 7th women's edition of the Ningbo International Tennis Open. It takes place at the Yinzhou Tennis Center in Ningbo, China, from 14 to 20 October 2024. The tournament was originally scheduled to take place from 16 to 22 September as a WTA 250 tournament on the 2024 WTA Tour, but it was upgraded to a WTA 500 tournament and moved to October to fill the vacancy generated by the cancellation of the Zhengzhou Open.

Coco Gauff defeated Karolína Muchová in the final, 6–1, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2024 China Open. It was her second WTA 1000 title and eighth career singles title. Gauff became the second American woman to win the China Open, after Serena Williams, and the youngest women's singles champion at the tournament since Caroline Wozniacki in 2010. Ranked as the world No. 49, Muchová was the lowest ranked woman to reach the final since the tournament's inception in 2004.

This was the first edition of the tournament.

Two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka defeated Zheng Qinwen in the final, 6–3, 5–7, 6–3 to win the singles tennis title at the 2024 Wuhan Open. Sabalenka became the first player to win three consecutive titles at the Wuhan Open, and extended her unbeaten win streak at the tournament to 17 matches dating back to her tournament debut in 2018. The final was a rematch of the 2024 Australian Open final, which Sabalenka also won.
