The 2025 IHF Men's U19 Handball World Championship will be the 11th edition of the IHF Men's U19 Handball World Championship to be held in Egypt under the aegis of International Handball Federation (IHF). It will be first time in history that the championship will be organised by Egyptian Handball Federation. [1]

Bidding process

Three nations entered bid for hosting the tournament:

North Macedonia and Poland later withdrew their bid. The tournament was initially awarded to Slovenia by the IHF Council in its meeting held in Cairo, Egypt on 28 February 2020. [2] However, there were no further details on Slovenia's preparations four years later and were stripped of the hosting rights in September 2024, with Egypt being named the replacement.

The 2025 IHF World Women's Handball Championship will be 27th edition of the championship to be jointly hosted by Germany and the Netherlands under the aegis of International Handball Federation (IHF) from 27 November to 14 December 2025. It will be fourth time in history that the championship is jointly hosted. Catch the Dream will be the official motto of the competition.

The European qualification for the 2025 World Men's Handball Championship was contested in two rounds between November 2023 and May 2024. They joined the six already qualified teams: Croatia and Norway, as co-hosts, Denmark as co-host and title holder, France as defending runner-ups, and Sweden and Germany as the two best ranked teams at 2024 European Men's Handball Championship not already qualified.
