General elections were held in Myanmar on 8 November 2015, with the National League for Democracy winning a supermajority of seats in the combined national parliament. Voting occurred in all constituencies, excluding seats appointed by the military, to select Members of Assembly to seats in both the upper house and the lower house of the Assembly of the Union, and State and Region Hluttaws. Ethnic Affairs Ministers were also elected by their designated electorates on the same day, although only select ethnic minorities in particular states and regions were entitled to vote for them.

Daunglan

U Nar Auk Monastery Buddhist monastery in Myanmar

U Nar Auk Monastery, also known as the U Nar Auk Shrines, is a historic Buddhist monastery located in the village of Kawhnat, Karen State, Myanmar. The monastic compound, known for its ornate blending of traditional Burmese and foreign architectural craftsmanship, contains an ordination hall built in 1895, as well as three shrines and two pagodas built between 1902 and 1904. The 28 Buddhas shrine (နှစ်ကျိပ်ရှစ်ဆူဝတ်တန်ဆောင်) is known for its arabesque archways, carved teak slab reliefs depicting the histories of Thaton and Bagan, its ceiling, and glass mosaic craftsmanship. Two of the monastery buildings, which incorporate Indo-European and Chinese motifs, were donated by Htaw Ei and Htun Kyaw, two logging tycoons.

Zin Wine is a Burmese film actor. He won the Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards two times and served as the chairperson of the Myanmar Motion Picture Organization twice as well.

Poe Ei Ei Khant is a Burmese actress and singer. She is best known for her leading roles in several Burmese films. Throughout her career, she has acted in over 100 films.

Ei Thinzar Maung is a Burmese activist and politician. She is the incumbent Deputy Minister of Women, Youths and Children Affairs of the National Unity Government.
