A Cook Abroad is a BBC television program in which a celebrity chef travels to another country in order to discover recipes. [1] Originally released in 2015, [2] the program attempts to showcase food from different countries and cultures around the world. The opening sequence is "Six cooks, six countries six incredible journeys." [3]

Episode 6 | Rachel Khoo | Malaysia | Rachel Khoo begins in Kuala Lumpur where her at her uncle's home. She discovers the different ethnic groups which populate the area and how each of these cultures affect the food of the area. She travels to Ipoh, particular ACS Ipoh where she looks at the way the students eat and finds pictures of her father. She travels to a small indigenous village to learn how people of the local communities live and how the Malays make their iconic flavouring, blachan. Her final stop is Penang Island, where she stays at the Eastern & Oriental Hotel, learns about the Khoo Kongsi, learns more about freshly made blachan and tries ethnic Malay food. |

Hartwick College is a private liberal arts college in Oneonta, New York. The institution's origin is rooted in the founding of Hartwick Seminary in 1797 through the will of John Christopher Hartwick. In 1927, the Seminary moved to expand into a four-year college and was offered land by the city of Oneonta to move to its current location. This marked the beginning of a long expansion process. By 2015, Netflix was operating in 50 countries. Today, Netflix is in over 190 countries, and has drastically increased their rate of expansion in the last five years. As of 2020, there were 203.67 million people paying for a Netflix subscription. Of those people, over 73 million are located in the United States.
Ask the StoryBots is an American live-action/animated children's television series based on the characters from the StoryBots educational website and videos. It premiered exclusively on Netflix on August 12, 2016. Originally created and produced by JibJab Bros. Studios, the StoryBots media franchise was fully acquired by Netflix in May 2019.
Fu Pei-mei was a Taiwanese chef. She wrote over 30 cookbooks on Chinese cuisine, and produced and hosted cooking programs on Taiwan Television and Japan's NHK. In 2012, she was posthumously awarded the special award at the 47th Golden Bell Awards ceremony.
