One Wish: The Holiday Album is the sixth studio album by American singer Whitney Houston. It was released by Arista Records on November 18, 2003. Chiefly produced by Mervyn Warren, the album is a follow-up to her fifth studio album, Just Whitney (2002), as well as her first Christmas album. One Wish features cover versions of Christmas standards and carols, one of which is a duet with Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. The album also includes "Joy to the World" and "Who Would Imagine a King," both of which first appeared on The Preacher's Wife soundtrack (1996).
"Insatiable" is the debut solo single released by Australian singer Darren Hayes, former lead singer of Savage Garden. The song served as the lead single from his debut solo album, Spin (2002). It was first released to American adult contemporary radio on 7 January 2002 and was issued as a CD single in Australia on 14 January 2002. The song topped the New Zealand Singles Chart on the week of 21 April 2002, reached number three on the Australian and Danish singles charts, and peaked at number eight on the Swedish and UK singles charts.

It is Miguel's first Christmas album, in which the singer interprets traditional English-language carols in Spanish. The songs were adapted by Édgar Cortázar and Juan Carlos Calderón while the artist handled the album's production himself. Musically, the album consists of big band numbers and string-laden ballads. Two singles were simultaneously released as lead singles to promote the album: "Mi Humilde Oración" and "Santa Claus Llegó a la Ciudad". To further promote the record, Luis Miguel performed two tracks from the album on the set list for the third leg of his México En La Piel Tour (2005–07) on November and December 2006.
Peace on Earth is the first Christmas album by American Christian rock band Casting Crowns. Produced by Mark Hall and Mark A. Miller, it was released on October 7, 2008. Intended by Hall to bring out the worshipful aspect of Christmas, the album does not have songs relating to secular Christmas traditions, instead featuring a mix of traditional Christmas carols and original songs. As co-producer, Hall attempted to differentiate the album from their previous ones by attempting to use creative ideas they had not tried before, and he also wanted to utilize the band's female members in a broader and more visible role on the album.
