Abu Shakar (Persian : ابوشكر‎, also Romanized as Abū Shakar)^[1] is a village in Minubar Rural District, Arvandkenar District, Abadan County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 872, in 183 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Minubar Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Arvandkenar District, Abadan County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 9,800, in 1,927 families. The rural district has 12 villages.

Arvandkenar is a district (bakhsh) in Abadan County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 25,010, in 4,930 families. The District has one city: Arvandkenar.
