Adrian Holdstock (born 27 April 1970) is a South African cricket umpire and former cricketer who now serves as an ICC international cricket umpire. [1] He is part of Cricket South Africa's umpire panel for first-class matches. [2]
Holdstock played for Western Province between 1989 and 1993 before playing for Boland from 1993 to 1995. [3] After retiring as a cricketer,Holdstock took up umpiring. He made his list A umpiring debut in 2006 and his first class debut in 2007. [4] [5]
In 2011,Holdstock made his international Twenty20 debut. [6] He umpired in three One Day International games in 2013. [7] In January 2020,he was named as one of the sixteen umpires for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup tournament in South Africa. [8]
On 26 December 2020,Holdstock stood in his first Test match as an umpire,in the first Test between South Africa and Sri Lanka. [9]
He was selected as one of the match officials for 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. [10] In March 2023,Holdstock and Ahsan Raza from Pakistan were inducted into the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires after Aleem Dar left the panel. [11] [12]
He was one of the sixteen match officials for 2023 Cricket World Cup. [13] [14]

Rudolf Eric Koertzen was a South African international cricket umpire and former cricketer. A cricket enthusiast since his youth,he played league cricket while working as a clerk for South African Railways. He began umpiring in 1981,before becoming a full-time official eleven years later. In an international career spanning 18 years,he officiated in a record 331 matches and is only behind Aleem Dar in officiating as an umpire in most international matches.
Simon James Arthur Taufel is an Australian former cricket umpire who was earlier a member of the ICC Elite umpire panel. He won five consecutive ICC Umpire of the Year awards between 2004 and 2008,and is widely regarded as one of the top 10 the greatest umpire of all time. He announced his retirement from international cricket on 26 September 2012,after the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 final. He subsequently worked as the ICC's Umpire Performance and Training Manager until October 2015. In 2020 he joined the Channel Seven commentary team as an expert commentator for the 2020/21 test series.
Aleem Dar PP is a Pakistani cricket umpire and former first-class cricketer. He has been a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires. Dar won the David Shepherd Trophy three years in a row from 2009 to 2011,after being nominated twice in 2005 and 2006. Aleem Dar,Marais Erasmus,Richard Kettleborough,Kumar Dharmasena and Simon Taufel were the only umpires to have received the award from its inception until 2017. Before becoming an umpire,Dar played first-class cricket as a right-handed batsman and a leg-break bowler for Allied Bank,Gujranwala,Lahore and Pakistan Railways teams.
The Elite Panel of ICC Umpires is a panel of cricket umpires appointed by the International Cricket Council to officiate in Test matches and One Day Internationals around the world. The panel was first established in April 2002 when the ICC decided to reform the way that international cricket was umpired. The main change was that both umpires in a Test match and one of the umpires in a One Day International were now independent of the competing nations,whereas before 2002 just one of the umpires in a Test was independent and in ODIs both umpires were from the home nation. The majority of these ICC appointments are fulfilled by the members of the Elite Panel,who are generally thought to be the best umpires in the world. As such the ICC hopes to ensure that umpiring standards are as high as possible. Members of the panel stand in around 10 Tests and 15 ODIs each year. The list of umpires in the panel is revised every year by the ICC Umpires Selection Panel.
Michael Andrew Gough is an English cricket umpire and former cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler. As an international umpire,Gough is a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires,representing the England and Wales Cricket Board.
Rodney James Tucker is an Australian cricket umpire,member of the ICC Elite Umpire Panel and officiates in international Tests,ODIs and T20Is. He was a cricketer who played briefly for New South Wales from 1985/86 to 1987/88,before moving to Tasmania where he played from 1987/88 to 1998/99. He was also vice-captain of Tasmania from 1991/92 until 1995/96. He briefly played as Captain/Coach for the Canberra Comets in the 1999/2000 season before retiring from cricket as a player.

Ahsan Raza is a Pakistani cricket umpire and former cricketer. In November 2020,in the second Twenty20 International (T20I) between Pakistan and Zimbabwe,he officiated in his 50th T20I match as an on-field umpire,becoming the first umpire to reach the milestone in T20I cricket.
Nitin Narendra Menon is an Indian former cricketer and umpire. He was a right-handed batsman,representing Madhya Pradesh in List A cricket. He is now an umpire and has stood in matches in the 2015–16 Ranji Trophy and the Sheffield Shield in Australia. In June 2020,he was promoted to the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires,replacing Nigel Llong. His father Narendra Menon was also a cricketer and umpire.
The 2014 ICC World Twenty20 was the fifth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup,formerly known as the ICC World Twenty20,an international Twenty20 cricket tournament,that took place in Bangladesh from 16 March to 6 April 2014. It was played in three cities —Dhaka,Chittagong and Sylhet. The International Cricket Council announced Bangladesh as host in 2010. This was the first ICC World Twenty20 where the use of Decision Review System (DRS) was implemented. It was the second consecutive time that an Asian country hosted the event,with Sri Lanka hosting the previous tournament in 2012. Sri Lanka won the 2014 tournament,beating India by 6 wickets in the final at Mirpur.
Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid,also known as Sharfuddoula Saikat,is an international cricket umpire and a former first-class player from Bangladesh. He is the first Bangladeshi umpire to be included in the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires in March 2024. He also officiated in 100 matches in men's international cricket including ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in 2023.

Bongani Jele is a South African cricket umpire. He is part of Cricket South Africa's umpire panel for first-class matches. Along with Adrian Holdstock,he umpired in the final of the 2015–16 Ram Slam T20 Challenge in December 2015 and officiated in the first-class tour match between South Africa A and England XI later the same month.
Wayne Roger Knights is a New Zealand cricket umpire. Along with Tim Parlane,Knights umpired the final of the 2015–16 Ford Trophy,in January 2016. He was added to the ICC International Panel of Umpires in June 2016. He stood in his first One Day International (ODI) match,between New Zealand and Bangladesh,on 26 December 2016.

Match officials for the 2023 Cricket World Cup were selected by the ICC's umpire selection panel,headed by Sean Easey,the ICC's senior manager for umpires and referees. The panel selected 12 umpires to officiate at the tournament:three from Australia,four from England,four from Asia,two each from New Zealand and South Africa and one from the West Indies. It also selected four match referees for the event.
The South Africa cricket team toured Pakistan in January 2021 to play two Test matches and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against the Pakistan cricket team. The Test series formed part of the inaugural 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship. It was the first time in fourteen years that South Africa toured Pakistan.
