Ajinkya Deo is an Indian actor in Marathi films [3] and is the son of veteran Marathi actor Ramesh Deo and Seema Deo. He was the Prominent figure in Marathi Cinema during 80s and 90s. He appeared over 85 movies in Hindi and Marathi movies. He is the recipient of Maharashtra State Film Award for Best Actor. he made his debut with a role in the Superhit Marathi movie Ardhangi (1985) opposite Archana Joglekar. He emerged as a star with Sarja (1987) and went on to establish himself with his roles in the action films Shabbash sunbai (1986), Jeeva Sakha (1991) Ghayal (1993), Bajrangachi Kamal (1994) and Vishwvinayak (1994). Deo's other commercially successful films include Majh ghar majha sansar (1986), Sansar (1987), Kashyasathi premasathi (1987), Maherchi Sadi (1991), Bandhan (1991), Lapandav (1993), Vajwa re Vajwa (1993), Kunku (1994), Sarkarnama (1998), and Vasudeo balwant phadke (2007). Deo has also played supporting roles in Jeta (2010), Ringa Ringa (2010), Dubhang (2011), Sau Shashi Deodhar (2014), Raakhandaar (2014), Nati (2014), Tanhaji (2020) and Gharat Ganpati (2024).
Deo was also the executive director of Prabhat Entertainment TV channel. The channel operated from 2000 to 2002.
Deo acted in a Telugu horror film in the year 1996 directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Dev has anchored a crime show with Marathi entertainment channel Star Pravah. [4] [5]
He has worked with noted Film director's such as Rajdutt, Kumar Sohoni, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Shrabani Deodhar, Prabhakar Pendharkar, Anant Mane, Girish Ghanekar, Sanjay Jadhav and Om Raut. His chemistry with top Marathi actress of 80s and 90s were appreciated, he done Films with Ashwini Bhave, Varsha Usgaonkar, Nishigandha Wad, Archana Joglekar, Nivedita Saraf and Kishori Shahane.
Dev worked with Ajay Devgan in 1999 action movie Gair and 2020 historical action movie Tanhaji. [6]
Deo was born on 3 May 1963 in Mumbai, Maharashtra to a Marathi film actor Ramesh Deo and actress Seema Deo. He has a younger brother Abhinay Deo.
Deo was married to long time girlfriend Aarti Deo in 1986. [7]

Ashwini Bhave is an Indian model and actress known for her work in both Hindi, Kannada and Marathi-language films and television serials. She made her Marathi cinema debut with Shabas Sunbai (1986). She Received Maharashtra State Film Award for Best Actress twice for her performance in critically acclaimed movies Kadachit and Aahuti. Born and raised in India, she lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Archana Joglekar is an Indian actress and classical dancer. She has acted in Marathi, Odia and Hindi films and television serials. Some of her noted films are Sansar (Hindi), Eka Peksha Ek (Marathi) and Anapekshit (Marathi). She is a Kathak dancer and choreographer. She was trained in Kathak by her mother, Asha Joglekar, a Kathak dancer and instructor. In 1963, her mother founded a dance school in Mumbai called Archana Nrityalaya.
