Ak-Buura Game Reserve is a protected area in Kara-Suu District, Osh Region, Kyrgyzstan. [1] [2] It was established in 1975 with a purpose of conserving breeding areas of pheasant, see-see partridge, and chukar. The reserve covers 10,000 hectares in the Ak-Buura river valley. [3]
Kojo-Keleng also known as Kyzyl-Tala is a mountain village in Oş Region of Kyrgyzstan. It is part of the Kara-Suu District. It lies in the valley of the river Jiptiksuu, a tributary of the Aq-Buura. Its population was in 2,224 in 2021.

Jazy Game Reserve is a protected area in Özgön District, Osh Region, Kyrgyzstan. It is located in the flood plain of the lower reach of the river Jazy, near the city Özgön. It was established in 1975 to conserve flood plain reed-sandthorn brushwoods and wetlands, serving breeding areas for pheasant, and wintering ground for water-fowl birds. The reserve occupies 5,000 hectares.
The Ak-Buura is a river in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. It flows through the city Oş, and discharges into the Shahrixonsoy, one of the canals of the Ferğana Valley. The river is formed at the north slopes of Alay Mountains. The river is 148 kilometres (92 mi) long, and the watershed covers 2,530 square kilometres (980 sq mi). The long-term average discharge of the river at Tölöykön gauging post is 21.4 cubic metres per second (760 cu ft/s), high-water discharge (June–July) ranging from 50 cubic metres per second (1,800 cu ft/s) to 67 cubic metres per second (2,400 cu ft/s) and low-water discharge (January) from 5 cubic metres per second (180 cu ft/s) to 6 cubic metres per second (210 cu ft/s). The main settlements along the river Aq-Buura are the city Oş and the villages Tölöykön, Turuq and Papan.
Sarkent State Nature Park is a national park in Leylek District of Batken Region of Kyrgyzstan established in June 2009. The purpose of the park is conservation of the unique natural complexes and biodiversity, protection of rare and endangered flora and fauna, and extension of network of specially protected areas of Kyrgyz Republic. The area of the park is 39,999 hectares. The park is located in the Turkestan Range, 42 km from the district center Isfana and in 177 km from the regional center Batken.

The park is situated on the northern slopes of the Talas Alatoo range, on the border with Kazakhstan, 50 km from Kök-Say and 120 km from the regional center Talas.

The purpose of the park is conservation of the unique nature complex and biodiversity, protection of rare and endangered species of flora and fauna, and extension of the network of specially protected areas of Kyrgyz Republic. The park is located in the easternmost part of Kyrgyzstan between mountain ranges Terskey Ala-Too and Kakshaal Too. The nature park is largely within Saryjaz river basin.
