Alec Halaby (born 1986or1987) [1] is an American professional football executive who is the assistant general manager for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He attended Harvard University and began his career with the Eagles in 2007.
Halaby is from Madison, Wisconsin, [2] and was born in 1986 or 1987. [1] He attended Madison Memorial High School where he played for the football team as a quarterback, being a starter as a senior. [3] He later studied English at Harvard University, where he graduated in 2009. [2] [4]
Halaby became interested in analytics after a stint with the website Football Outsiders. [4] While in college, he emailed all 32 National Football League (NFL) teams looking for a job, and he received a response from Howie Roseman of the Philadelphia Eagles. [4] He joined the team as an intern in 2007. [5] [6] Working with the football operations department, he returned for a second year as an intern in 2009, then was hired full-time in 2010 to the position of player personnel analyst. [2] He then was promoted to the title of special assistant to the general manager in 2012. [1]
Halaby was described as an "instrumental figure in the front office at implementing data-driven principles." [4] Roseman called Halaby a "safeguard" and said he often went to him for advice and research on players to potentially sign. [1] His biography on the team website notes that he "has focused on player evaluation, roster management, and resource allocation, with a particular emphasis on integrating traditional and analytical methods in decision-making." Halaby was given the position of vice president of football operations and strategy in 2016. [7] He won a Super Bowl title in the 2017 season when the Eagles defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII. [6] He received another promotion in 2022, to assistant general manager. [4]
Halaby has been interviewed by several teams as a general manager candidate, including the Carolina Panthers and Washington Commanders in 2024, and the New York Jets in 2025. [8]
Michael George Holmgren is an American former football coach and executive in the National Football League (NFL). He began his NFL career as a quarterbacks' coach and later as an offensive coordinator with the San Francisco 49ers, where they won Super Bowls XXIII and XXIV. He served as the head coach of the Green Bay Packers from 1992 to 1998, where he won Super Bowl XXXI, and of the Seattle Seahawks from 1999 to 2008. His last role in the NFL was as team president of the Cleveland Browns from 2010 to 2012. Prior to his career in the NFL, Holmgren coached football at the high school and collegiate levels.

Stephen Christopher Spagnuolo is an American football coach who is the defensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). Nicknamed "Spags", Spagnuolo started his NFL coaching career with Andy Reid and the Philadelphia Eagles from 1999 to 2006, and as a defensive coordinator he has coached four top-ten defenses in terms of yardage and has won four Super Bowls, one with the New York Giants and three with the Kansas City Chiefs. He is the only coordinator in NFL history to win a Super Bowl with two different franchises and the only one to win four Super Bowls in that role. Some historic defenses that Spagnuolo has coached throughout his career include the 2007 New York Giants defense that defeated the undefeated New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII and the 2023 Kansas City Chiefs defense.
