Ali Abkar is an Iranian mathematician [3] and university professor at Imam Khomeini International University. He is best known for his works on Riesz-type formula, [4] for some works in Nonlinear Functional Analysis, [5] as well as for contributions to The Theory of Bergman spaces. [6]

He has served as Dean of Faculty of Science, Imam Khomeini International University during 2009-2014.

As of September 2013, he was appointed as a member of the editorial board of Bulletin of Iranian Mathematical Society, a journal published by the society. He is a member of the mathematics group of the Iranian Academy of Literature.[ citation needed ]

Education

Ali received a BS degree in mathematics from Kharazmi University in 1987, and a Master of Science degree from the University of Tehran in 1991. He then got a Philosofi Licentiat in 1997 from Uppsala University and a PhD in 2000 from Lund University. [7]

Abdolkarim Soroush (عبدالكريم سروش Persian pronunciation: [æbdolkæriːm soruːʃ]; born Hossein Haj Faraj Dabbagh, is an Iranian Islamic thinker, reformer, Rumi scholar, public intellectual, and a former professor of philosophy at the University of Tehran and Imam Khomeini International University. He is arguably the most influential figure in the religious intellectual movement of Iran. Soroush is currently a visiting scholar at the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. He was also affiliated with other institutions, including Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Columbia, the Leiden-based International Institute as a visiting professor for the Study of Islam in the Modern World and the Wissenschaftskolleg in Berlin. He was named by Time magazine as one of the world's 100 most influential people in 2005, and by Prospect magazine as one of the most influential intellectuals in the world in 2008. Soroush's ideas, founded on relativism, prompted both supporters and critics to compare his role in reforming Islam to that of Martin Luther in reforming Christianity.

Mohammad-Reza Mahdavi Kani

Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Mahdavi Kani was an Iranian Shia cleric, writer and conservative and principlist politician who was Acting Prime Minister of Iran from 2 September until 29 October 1981. He finished his high school course in Shariati High school and attended in university entrance exam, then could enter University of Tehran.

Alireza Shokoohi is an Iranian hydrologist, Professor at Imam Khomeini International University and guest researcher at the University of Oklahoma. Forty Hadith is a 1940 book written by Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It describes his personal interpretations of the forty traditions attributed to Muhammad, the Prophet of Islam, and The Twelve Imams.

On 7 January 1989, Ruhollah Khomeini, supreme leader of Iran, sent a letter to Mikhail Gorbachev, the General Secretary of the Soviet Union. This letter was Khomeini's only written message to a foreign leader. Khomeini's letter was delivered by the Iranian politicians Abdollah Javadi-Amoli, Mohammad-Javad Larijani, and Marzieh Hadidchi. In the letter, Khomeini declared that Communism was dissolving within the Soviet bloc, and invited Gorbachev to consider Islam as an alternative to communist ideology.
