Alice Mizzau (born 18 March 1993) is an Italian competitive swimmer who competes primarily in freestyle events.

She won the first gold medal of all time, of an Italian women relay team, at an international swimming championships 2012 European Aquatics Championships with the 4 × 200 m freestyle. [1]

Alice Mizzau qualified for her first Olympic appearance at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. [2]

In winning the 100-meter freestyle, a tie with Penny Oleksiak of Canada, Manuel became the first Black American woman to win an individual Olympic gold in swimming and set an Olympic record and an American record. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she won a bronze medal as the anchor of the American 4×100-meter freestyle relay team.
