Alisher Yergali (born 12 April 1999) is a Kazakh freestyle wrestler. He is a four-time medalist at the Asian Wrestling Championships. He represented Kazakhstan at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan and the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. [1]
Yergali won the bronze medal at the Asian Wrestling Championships, both in 2019 and in 2020. [2] [3] [4] [5]
In 2019, Yergali competed in the men's freestyle 97 kg event at the World Wrestling Championships held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. [6] He lost his bronze medal match against Magomedgadzhi Nurov of North Macedonia. [6] [7]
In 2021, Yergali won one of the bronze medals in the men's 97 kg event at the Poland Open held in Warsaw. [8] He competed in the men's freestyle 97 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan. [1] He won his first match against Mohammed Fardj of Algeria by walkover and he was then eliminated by Süleyman Karadeniz of Turkey. [1]
Yergali competed at the 2022 Yasar Dogu Tournament held in Istanbul, Turkey. [9] He won the silver medal in the men's 125 kg event at the 2022 Asian Wrestling Championships held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. [10] [11]
He competed at the 2024 Asian Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and he earned a quota place for Kazakhstan for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. Zhuldyz Eshimova is a Kyrgyz-born female wrestler who competes for Kazakhstan. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed in the women's -48 kg freestyle division, losing to Vanessa Kolodinskaya in the second round. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, she competed in the same division. She lost to eventual gold medalist Eri Tosaka in her first match. Because Tosaka reached the gold medal round, Eshimova took part in the repechage. She beat Haley Augello in the first round of the repechage, but lost to Sun Yanan in her bronze medal match.
Taha Akgül is an Olympic, World, and European champion Turkish freestyle wrestler competing in the 125 kg division. He is a 3 time world and 11 time European champion. He won the gold medal in the 2016 Summer Olympics and the bronze medal in the 2020 Summer Olympics as well as in the 2024 Summer Olympics at 125 kg. He is a graduate of the Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Physical Education and Sports Academy and completed his master's degree at Sivas Cumhuriyet University.
Dániel Ligeti is an amateur Hungarian freestyle wrestler, who competes in the men's super heavyweight category. He won the bronze medal for his division at the 2011 European Wrestling Championships in Dortmund, Germany, and silver at the 2012 European Wrestling Championships in Belgrade, Serbia. Ligeti stands 1.92 metres tall and weighs 115 kilograms (254 lb). He is also currently a member of TuS Adelhausen in Rheinfelden, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, and is coached by Istvan Gulyas from the national wrestling team.

Meerim Zhumanazarova is a Kyrgyzstani freestyle wrestler. She won the bronze medal in the women's 68 kg event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and the gold medal in the same event at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships. In the 2024 Paris Olympics, she was defeated by Amit Elor of the United States in the final and earned the silver medal.
Iryna Alyaksandrauna Kurachkina is a Belarusian freestyle wrestler. She won the silver medal in the women's 57 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan. Kurachkina is also a two-time bronze medalist at the World Wrestling Championships and a five-time medalist, including three golds, at the European Wrestling Championships. She also won the gold medal in her event at the 2019 European Games held in Minsk, Belarus.

She also won a bronze medal in the women's 55 kg event at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Khasanboy Rakhimov is an Uzbekistani freestyle wrestler. He won one of the bronze medals in the men's 125 kg event at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships but his medal was stripped as he tested positive for a banned substance. He would have been scheduled to represent Uzbekistan at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, but the Olympic quota for that spot was given to a runner up.

Alikhan Lukmanovich Zhabrailov is a Russian freestyle wrestler of Chechen ethnicity who competes at 97 and 92 kilograms. At 92, Zhabrailov was the 2020 Individual World Cup champion, a 2019 World Championship bronze medalist, the Golden Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin 2020 silver medalist and a two–time Russian National champion. In 2021, he made the move up to 97 kilos, and has claimed the 2021 European Continental Championship and the 2021 Russian National Championship.
