The manager of Sri Lanka's delegation at the championships was a 45-year-old wrestler from the country named Donald Indrawansa. During the event, on 4 October—the day before he was scheduled to go back home with his team—he suddenly disappeared without any witnesses or traces of him leaving. The rest of his team returned home safely. The Wrestling Federation of Sri Lanka announced it would investigate the incident, but its president said Indrawansa had likely used the trip to illegally immigrate to Europe, and condemned Indrawansa for lacking sportsmanship. His is one of numerous disappearances of Sri Lankans at overseas sporting events. [4] [5]
