The 2021 World Armwrestling Championship was the 42nd edition of the World Armwrestling Championship held in Bucharest, Romania from 24 November to 3 December. The event was supposed to be held from 18 to 27 September 2020 in Batumi, Georgia. It was later postponed and then moved to another location. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] Georgian Armwrestling Federation was disqualified by the WAF Executive Board because of failing to organize the 2021 World Armwrestling Championship. [7]

Belgrade was picked to host the championships for the second time; the original 2021 contract with New Delhi was cancelled due to a disagreement between AIBA and the Boxing Federation of India over hosting fees. The 2021 Women's World Ice Hockey Championships was the 23rd such event organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Originally scheduled to comprise six tournaments across four divisions, the event was significantly curtailed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 18 November 2020, the IIHF announced the cancellation of the Divisions I, II and III tournaments at the recommendation of the IIHF COVID-19 Expert Group. Only the Top Division tournament was maintained, bringing the number of participating nations from 42 to 10. With only one tournament held, the standard system of promotion and relegation between divisions and groups was not implemented and each team remained in the tournament pool designated for the 2021 event at the 2022 championships.

Levan Saginashvili, nicknamed Georgian Hulk, is a Georgian professional arm-wrestler. He is considered to be the strongest arm wrestler of the modern era and likely of all time. Charles Osei Asibey "The Barrister" is the President of the Africa Armwrestling Federation and the Vice President of the World Armwrestling Federation. He was voted into office as the President of the Federation in July 2022. He is a retired broadcast journalist who is also the founder and current President of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation. He also doubles as the General Secretary of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG). He is also the former Communications Director for the Ghana Olympic Committee.

The 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship will be the 24th edition of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the men's under-21 national teams of Europe. A total of 16 teams will play in the final tournament, and only players born on or after 1 January 2000 are eligible to participate.

It is a member of the World Bodybuilding Federation, World Fitness Federation and World Armwrestling Federation. It organizes Turkish championships for each sport branch, and selects national teams for international competitions. President of the federation is Niyazi Kurt.
