He was voted into office as the President of the Federation in July 2022. He is a retired broadcast journalist who is also the founder and current President of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation. He also doubles as the General Secretary of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG). He is also the former Communications Director for the Ghana Olympic Committee.

Raz Hershko is an Israeli Olympic silver medalist and European champion judoka. She was the 2015 European U18 Champion, the 2017 European U23 championships silver medalist, and won a bronze medal in the 2023 world championships. She competed for Israel at the 2020 Summer Olympics, winning a bronze medal in mixed team. She is the 2024 European Champion. Representing Israel at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Hershko won the silver medal in judo in the women's +78 kg, and also competed in the mixed team event, in which Team Israel came in ninth.

The 2021 World Armwrestling Championship was the 42nd edition of the World Armwrestling Championship held in Bucharest, Romania from 24 November to 3 December. The event was supposed to be held from 18 to 27 September 2020 in Batumi, Georgia. It was later postponed and then moved to another location. Georgian Armwrestling Federation was disqualified by the WAF Executive Board because of failing to organize the 2021 World Armwrestling Championship.

Esra Kiraz is a Turkish armwrestler. Competing in the senior women's 55 kg category, she has been world and European champion several times in both left and right arm categories.

It is a member of the World Bodybuilding Federation, World Fitness Federation and World Armwrestling Federation. It organizes Turkish championships for each sport branch, and selects national teams for international competitions. President of the federation is Niyazi Kurt.
