The All India Meo Sabha (English: All India Assembly for Meos) (abbreviation: AIMS) is an Indian political organisation and advocacy group based primarily in the Mewat region of India. It was formed under the leadership of Chaudhary Rahim Khan in 1967. [1]

History

The All India Meo Sabha was founded by Chaudhary Rahim Khan in 1967. It was responsible for uniting Meos that were scattered across Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, post independence. The organization under the leadership of Chaudhary Rahim Khan made demands for a university in Mewat, extension of railway lines to the Mewat region of Rajasthan and Haryana, as well as the recognition of the ethnic Meos as part of the Scheduled Tribes denomination in India and granting them reservations accordingly due to their economically and educationally disadvantaged status in Indian society. In 1986, the All India Meo Sabha started a Newspaper titled the "Meo Times".

The college is 75 km from Delhi on National Highway 8, 47 km from Gurgaon and 57 km from Faridabad. The college provides undergraduate medical education. The college is accredited by the Medical Council of India.

Chaudhary Zakir Hussain is an Indian politician and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He serves as administrator of the Haryana Waqf Board and is the National Vice-President of Bharatiya Janata Party Minority Morcha from Haryana. He is a three term former member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly from Nuh and Taoru.


Chaudhary Tayyab Husain was an Indian politician, who served as a Member of Parliament from Gurgaon and Faridabad in the Lok Sabha. He also served as the Minister of Agriculture of Rajasthan, Home Minister of Haryana and Minister of State for Health of Punjab.

Chaudhary Khurshid Ahmed was an Indian politician and a practicing lawyer before the Supreme Court of India, who served as Member of Lok Sabha in a by-poll election from the Lokdal party proceeding the death of the previous office holder, Chaudhary Rahim Khan. Ahmed was a Member of Parliament for no longer than 8 months. He was also elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly to the Punjab and Haryana assembly five times.

Nuh is one of the 90 assembly constituencies in the Haryana Legislative Assembly of the Indian state of Haryana. It was previously part of the Faridabad Lok Sabha constituency before the Gurgaon Lok Sabha constituency was re-established in 2008.

Mohammad Ilyas is an Indian politician who is a current member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly from the Punahana constituency in the Nuh district of Haryana. He has been elected as a Member of Legislative Assembly five times and has served as a Minister of State twice in the Government of Haryana.

Chaudhary Habib Ur Rehman, popularly known as Nayab Sahab, is an Indian Politician and former Member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly from the Nuh constituency in the Nuh district of Haryana. He was elected as an Independent Member of Legislative Assembly once from the Nuh Assembly constituency.

Chaudhary Rahim Khan was an Indian politician, who served as a Member of Parliament representing the Faridabad constituency in the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament. He died before he was to complete his term as Member of Parliament. He served as the Minister of Power and Irrigation, Waqf, and Fisheries in the Government of Haryana and was also elected as a Member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly three times.

Sultanpur-Punahana, natively known as Katpuri, is a village in northern India within the Nuh district of Haryana. It is under the district sub-division of Punahana. It is also the origin place of the Rahim Khan political dynasty of Haryana.

Chaudhary Jaleb Khan also known as Baba Jaleb Khan was an Indian politician who served as a Chief Parliamentary Secretary in the Government of Haryana. He was elected as a Member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly from the Hathin constituency once in 2009 and served his complete term till 2014.
