William Omar Landrón Rivera, known professionally as Don Omar, is a Puerto Rican singer. He is also known as the "King of Reggaeton" by music critics and fans alike. The artist was recognized by Billboard and Rolling Stone as one reggaeton legend. He is often cited as an influence by other Hispanic urban performers.

Produced by Eliel, the album spent 11 weeks at the top of Billboard Top Latin Albums in 2006. To promote the album Omar embarked the King of Kings World Tour. The album also features guest appearances by Miri Ben-Ari, Juelz Santana, Mackie Ranks, Beenie Man and Zion.

The album features appearances by RBD, Don Omar, Daddy Yankee, Héctor el Father, Tito El Bambino, Wisin & Yandel, Alexis & Fido, Zion, Magnate, Ñejo & Dalmata, Arcángel & De la Ghetto, and others. It also featured the work of 17-year-old producer Marco Masis, better known as Tainy.

During the height of their popularity, VI Music had some of the most successful reggaeton acts signed to their label. The company has not released an album since 2009 after most of their artists left or had their contracts sold to Universal Music Latino, most notably Don Omar. Álex Gárgolas left the company and went on to discover and manage Farruko during his first international successes. Mario VI currently hosts his own radio show "La Jungla" in Puerto Rico alongside legendary radio personality El Coyote.

Ivy Queen Musa Sound Corporation is a multi-genre record label founded by Ivy Queen and José Guadalupe in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 2005 with the release of Ivy Queen's fifth studio album Flashback. The label also has an office in Miami, Florida. It serves the genres of reggaetón, bachata, hip hop, R&B, and various other styles of tropical and Latin music. The label has previously been distributed by Univision Records and Machete Music while currently being distributed by Siente Music since early 2012.
R.K.M & Ken-Y is a Puerto Rican reggaeton duo formed in 2003 by José Nieves (R.K.M) and Kenny Vázquez (Ken-Y). The artists are renowned in the Latin music world for being the first to successfully fuse mainstream pop music with the reggaeton street rhythms of Puerto Rico and expose the style to a wide international audience. The sound introduced by R.K.M & Ken-Y would go on to inspire the pop reggaeton songs of successful acts such as CNCO, J Balvin, and Maluma. The duo had a very successful career with the Spanish-speaking audience of Latin America, the United States, and Spain until their separation in 2013. In June 2017, the duo announced their official return by Pina Records. In mid-2021 the Duo confirmed that they are on hiatus and are currently working on their solo projects.
