Sequel

Don Omar Presents MTO²: New Generation

A sequel of Meet the Orphans, called MTO 2: New Generation is in works. The release date has not been announced yet but the previews of two songs were released through YouTube on April 17. One is called Tus Movimientos [63] featuring Natti Natasha, and the other one is called Zumba. [64] In the official website of Orphanato Music Group it is said that "the album will contain 14 songs that will make history in music". [65]

Orfanato Music Group (OMG) was a Puerto Rican record label in the music and performance production industry. OMG was created by William Landron, also known as Don Omar, in 2007. Orfanato Music Group is an independent record label, which represents artists. Its music repertoire is represented nationally and internationally within the Latino marketplace. Its strategy is to serve those interested in Latino music, including reggaeton, Latin hip hop, and bachata, amongst others. The producers and the company were recognized by Billboard.

Luís Filipe Fraga Oliveira, better known by his stage name Lucenzo, is a French reggaeton singer, songwriter, rapper and record producer. His parents emigrated to France, from Portugal. Lucenzo, when began his singing career, signed with the Universal Music record label, to which he is still today. He is best known for his dance hit with rapper Big Ali, "Vem dançar Kuduro". Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Don Omar released a Spanish/Portuguese version of the song under the title "Danza Kuduro" with Lucenzo.

The song is an adaptation of Lucenzo's "Vem Dançar Kuduro", a Portuguese/English song. "Danza Kuduro" was released as the lead single from the album on August 15, 2010, through Machete, VI. It became a hit in most Latin American countries, and eventually all over Europe. "Danza Kuduro" was number one on the Hot Latin Songs, giving Don Omar his second US Billboard Hot Latin Songs number-one hit and Lucenzo his first. A remake of the song is also featured in the 2011 movie Fast Five as an ending song and is on the film's soundtrack album. "Danza Kuduro" ended up being the most successful song with a significant number of verses in European Portuguese of the 2010s. The track ranked 43 on Rolling Stone`s Greatest Latin Pop Songs.

"Taboo" is the second single from Don Omar's collaborative album Meet the Orphans released on January 24, 2011 through Universal Latino. The song is re-adapted version from Los Kjarkas's song "Llorando se fue" most commonly known for its use in Kaoma's 1989 hit single "Lambada" fused with Latin beats. The song peaked at number one on the Billboard Latin Songs, becoming his third number one single on the chart.

The 2011 Billboard Latin Music Awards were held on Thursday April 28, 2011 at the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. It is produced and broadcast lived on Telemundo network. The nominees were announced on Thursday February 10, 2011.

The Last Don II is the sixth studio album by Don Omar, released on June 16, 2015, through Pina Records and Machete Music. It is the sequel of Don Omar's first album, The Last Don, released in 2003, and includes twelve songs and includes the participation of reggaeton stars Wisin & Yandel, Daddy Yankee, Tego Calderón, Plan B, and Natti Natasha. Contrary of Don Omar's latest album, The Last Don II focuses on reggaeton, with exceptions including two hip hop tracks and one latin pop track. It features four singles: "Soledad", "Guaya Guaya", "Perdido En Tus Ojos" and "Te Recordaré Bailando". And songs ''Callejero", "En Lo Oscuro", Olvidar Que Somos Amigos", Dobla Rodilla", "Tirate Al Medio", " Bailando Bajo El Sol", "Sandunga". The songs themes includes dance, sex, love and human self-reflection. It was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Music Album in the ceremony's 16th edition in 2015.

<i>Dangerous</i> (Yandel album) 2015 studio album by Yandel

Dangerous is the third studio album by Puerto Rican reggaeton and pop artist Yandel, of the duo Wisin & Yandel, released worldwide on November 6, 2015 through Sony Music Latin. Contrary of his previous studio album, De Líder A Leyenda, Dangerous focuses mainly on reggaeton music, with some synthpop and electropop exceptions. It features reggaeton artists including Nicky Jam, Tego Calderón, Gadiel and De La Ghetto, as well as artists from other genres like Lil Jon, Pitbull, French Montana, Future, Shaggy and Alex Sensation. As of March 2016, the album includes only one single: "Encantadora", released on October, as well as a promotional electropop song titled "Somos Uno", released on September 18, 2015. It reached the top position on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart, surpassing 5,000 copies sold as of November 12, 2015. The album also reached the 10th position on Billboard's Best Latin Albums of 2015 ranking, being one of the two reggaeton albums that were chosen by the magazine's editors, the other one being The Last Don 2 by Don Omar, who reached the 9th position. Dangerous received a latin platinum certification in October 2016 by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for surpassing 60,000 copies sold in the United States. Its lead single, "Encantadora", was certified with 2× Platinum in Spain by the PROMUSICAE and later with 5× Platinum (Latin) by the RIAA. Dangerous won a Latin American Music Award for Album of the Year on October 6, 2016 and received a nomination for a Lo Nuestro Award for Urban Album of the Year.
