Aventura was an American bachata group formed in The Bronx, New York. With the lineup always consisting of the members Romeo Santos, Henry Santos, Lenny Santos, and Max Santos, they are regarded as one of the most influential Latin groups of all time. All of the members are of Dominican descent, although Romeo is also half Puerto Rican on his mother's side. They were the first major bachata act to have originated in the United States instead of the Dominican Republic. The group was integral to the evolution of bachata music and are the pioneers of the modern bachata sound. Aventura released five studio albums in a decade, creating many top 10 hits like "Cuándo volverás", "Un Beso", "Mi Corazoncito", "Los Infieles", "El Perdedor", "Por un Segundo", "Dile al Amor", among others. They have sold out many arenas including the world famous Madison Square Garden. Aventura has been nominated for awards such as American Music Awards, the Latin Grammy Awards, Billboard Latin Music Awards, and Premio Lo Nuestro. Aventura is one of the most internationally recognized Latin groups of the last two decades and frequently refer to themselves as "K.O.B.", or "Kings of Bachata".
William Omar Landrón Rivera, known professionally as Don Omar, is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. He is also known as the "King of Reggaeton" by music critics and fans alike. The artist was recognized by Billboard and Rolling Stone as one Reggaeton legend. He is often cited as an influence by other Hispanic urban performers.
King of Kings is Don Omar's second studio album. It was released on May 23, 2006, three years after his debut studio album The Last Don. Produced by Eliel, the album spent 11 weeks at the top of Billboard Top Latin Albums in 2006. With claimed sales of more than 4.1 million copies it is Don Omar's best selling album and one of the best selling reggaeton albums of all time. To promote the album Omar embarked the King of Kings World Tour. The album also features guest appearances by Miri Ben-Ari, Juelz Santana, Mackie Ranks, Beenie Man and Zion.
"Angelito" is the first single by Don Omar taken from his album King of Kings. It reached number one on the Billboard Latin Rhythm Airplay, Hot Latin Tracks and Latin Tropical Airplay charts, peaking at number 93 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song won the Video of the Year award at the Premio Lo Nuestro 2007.
The Last Don Live is a live album by Don Omar. The second CD contains 3 studio tracks: Pobre Diabla and the 2 versions of Carta A Un Amigo. The album sold over 1,000,000 copies worldwide. It was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Music Album in the Latin Grammys of 2005, Lo Nuestro Award for Urban Album of the Year in the Premio Lo Nuestro 2005 and Reggaeton Album Of The Year in the 2005 Latin Billboard Music Awards but won none.
Top of the Line is the debut solo album by Tito "El Bambino". It was released on March 21, 2006 by EMI Televisa Music. Top of The Line featured 20 songs, with collaboration from artists such as Daddy Yankee, Don Omar and Beenie Man. It featured quite a number of hits, such as "Caile", "Mia", "Tu Cintura", "Flow Natural" "Secreto", "Máximo", "Tuve Que Morir" and "Me da Miedo" among others. "Caile" was the first single and it peaked at number one in the Billboard Hot Latin charts. Top of the Line: El Internacional edition includes a bonus DVD featuring live concert footage and music videos. K.O.B. Live is the second live album released by bachata group Aventura by Premiun Latin Music distributed by Sony Music Latin. It was recorded during the promotion concert tour for their fourth studio album God's Project (2005). The tracks were recorded live in 3 United States locations which where New York City, Boston, and Puerto Rico. They also recorded in Dominican Republic and Colombia. It also contains a DVD with videos of the performance at Altos de Chavón in La Romana, Dominican Republic and at the Madison Square Garden theater in New York. In the first, the group played before some 6,000 people, while in the second they made history by becoming the first bachata group to sell all the tickets before the event for that venue.
Wisin vs. Yandel: Los Extraterrestres is the fifth studio album by Puerto Rican reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel, released on November 6, 2007, by Machete Music. On November 13, 2008, the album received the Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Music Album and Lo Nuestro Award for Urban Album of the Year. Also, the album won Grammy Award for Best Latin Urban Album on 2009.
Meet the Orphans is the fourth studio album by reggaeton artist, Don Omar, released on November 16, 2010. It is the sequel of Don Omar's first album, The Last Don, released in 2003, and includes twelve songs and includes the participation of reggaeton stars Wisin & Yandel, Daddy Yankee, Tego Calderón, Plan B, and Natti Natasha. Contrary of Don Omar's latest album, The Last Don II focuses on reggaeton, with exceptions including two hip hop tracks and one latin pop track. It features four singles: "Soledad", "Guaya Guaya", "Perdido En Tus Ojos" and "Te Recordaré Bailando". And songs ''Callejero", "En Lo Oscuro", Olvidar Que Somos Amigos", Dobla Rodilla", "Tirate Al Medio", " Bailando Bajo El Sol", "Sandunga". The songs themes includes dance, sex, love and human self-reflection. It was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Music Album in the ceremony's 16th edition in 2015.
R.K.M & Ken-Y is a reggaeton duo formed in 2003 by José Nieves (R.K.M) and Kenny Vázquez (Ken-Y). The artists are renowned in the Latin music world for being the first to successfully fuse mainstream pop music with the reggaeton street rhythms of Puerto Rico and expose the style to a wide international audience. The sound introduced by R.K.M & Ken-Y would go on to inspire the pop reggaeton songs of successful acts such as CNCO, J Balvin, and Maluma. The duo had a very successful career with the Spanish-speaking audience of Latin America, the United States, and Spain until their separation in 2013. In June 2017, the duo announced their official return by Pina Records. In mid-2021 the Duo confirmed that they are on hiatus and are currently working on their solo projects.
