The American Twenty20 Championship (often referred to as the USACA Twenty20 Championship) is an American Twenty20 cricket tournament aimed at grooming American cricket players for international events and to spread interest in American Cricket.
Its first season was only a 3-day affair as the tournament was played in New Jersey [1] and was eventually won by the Atlantic Division. The tournament is supported by the United States of America Cricket Association, the national federation of cricket in the US.
After not being held in 2012 and 2013, the USACA announced that the tournament would be played in 2014. The tournament was to take place in Indianapolis, and be broadcast online by ESPN3. [2] However, in May 2014, the city of Indianapolis, Indiana announced that it had terminated its agreement to host the tournament which was due to be held during August in the brand new, $6 million Indianapolis World Sports Park facility. Indianapolis Parks and Recreation director John W Williams sent a letter to USACA notifying them of the termination and a city official confirmed that the decision includes not just the 2014 championship but the entire three-year agreement which had been signed in September 2013 under former USACA chief executive Darren Beazley. In June 2014, USA Cricket Association announced that the tournament would now be moved to Lauderhill, Florida.
The tournament is structured in a round-robin format with the first two days being a group stage with the groups divided by West and East.
On the final day the first place team from the Western Conference played the first place team from the Eastern Conference for the tournament title. Corresponding second, third and fourth place teams in each conference will also play a third place, fifth place and seventh place match.

The United States national cricket team is the team that represents the United States in international cricket. The team was formerly organised by the United States of America Cricket Association (USACA), which became an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1965. In June 2017, the USACA was expelled by the ICC due to governance and financing issues, with the U.S. team being temporarily overseen by ICC Americas until a new sanctioning body was established. In January 2019, associate membership was officially granted to USA Cricket.
The United States of America Cricket Association (USACA), headquartered at Miami Beach, was the national governing body for all cricket in the United States, until it was replaced by USA Cricket in 2019. The board was formed in 1965.

USYCA has 60 member organizations: 21 Affiliates, which are organizations that are primarily engaged in youth cricket activities, and 39 Associates, which are organizations that support the USYCA mission, but are primarily engaged in other activities. USYCA is a program partner with the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, and is a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Steven Ryan Taylor is an American international cricketer. He was the captain of the United States cricket team, but was axed from the role in September 2017, as he plans to play international cricket for the West Indies cricket team. He made his first-class debut, playing for Jamaica, in the 2017–18 Regional Four Day Competition on November 9, 2017.

Indianapolis World Sports Park is an American sporting complex in Indianapolis, Indiana. The site covers 46 acres (19 ha) at the former Post Road Community Park and consists of three multi-use fields for the sports of cricket, lacrosse, hurling, rugby, Australian rules football, and Gaelic football. The $5.1 million facility was completed in 2014.
The 2015 ICC Americas Twenty20 Division One was a cricket tournament held in the United States from 3–10 May 2015. All matches were played at the World Sports Park in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Akeem Levar Dodson is an American professional cricketer. From New York City, he made his senior debut for the American national team in 2008, having earlier played for the national under-19 side at the 2006 Under-19 World Cup. A right-handed wicket-keeper/batsman, Dodson has played regularly at international tournaments since making his debut, including at the 2013 and 2015 World Twenty20 Qualifiers.

Major League Cricket (MLC) is an upcoming professional Twenty20 cricket league in the United States. Operated by American Cricket Enterprises (ACE) and sanctioned by USA Cricket, it plans to begin play in 2023, with six teams in major U.S. cities under a single-entity model. In 2021, the development league for MLC, Minor League Cricket (MiLC), completed its inaugural season, which was contested by 27 franchise-based teams.
Minor League Cricket, is an American Twenty20 cricket developmental league for Major League Cricket which began play on July 31, 2021, and ran until October 3, 2021. It was delayed from a mid-to-late 2020 start due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It consists of 27 teams from four regions. The league began its regional draft process in late-August 2020, and a series of exhibition games in September 2020. The draft for the league began on June 4, 2021. The Silicon Valley Strikers won the finals against the New Jersey Stallions by 6 wickets to win the inaugural season of Minor League Cricket.
The Houston Hurricanes are an American professional Twenty20 franchise cricket team that compete in Minor League Cricket (MiLC). The team is based in Houston, Texas. It was formed in 2020 as part of 24 original teams to compete in Minor League Cricket. The franchise is owned by Tanweer Ahmed and Mangesh Chaudhari.
