Amit Rawal (born 21 September 1963) is an Indian Judge of the Kerala High Court,the highest court in the Indian state of Kerala and in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep,which is headquartered at Ernakulam,Kochi. [1] [2]
Rawal graduated from DAV College,Chandigarh in 1983,and received a law degree from Panjab University,Chandigarh,in 1986 and was enrolled as member of Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana. He represented the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana in the High Court and other institutions. He was designated as Senior Advocate on 8 May 2012. [3] After a short stint in the office of Advocate General,Punjab as Additional Advocate General,he was elevated as an Additional Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court on 25 September 2014 [4] [5] and was appointed Permanent Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court on 23 May 2016. Punjab and Haryana High Court is the common High Court for the Indian states of Punjab and Haryana and the Union Territory of Chandigarh based in Chandigarh,India. Sanctioned strength of Judges of this High Court is 85 consisting of 64 Permanent Judges and 21 Additional Judges including Chief Justice. Arjan Kumar Sikri is an eminent jurist and a former judge of the Supreme Court of India. He was sworn in as a Supreme Court judge on 12 April 2013. Jagannath Kaushal was an Indian National Congress politician and Law Minister in the Government of India from 1982 to 1985. He studied law at Panjab University,Lahore,in 1936 and started legal practice at Patiala in 1937. Though he was selected as the District and Sessions Judge in 1947,he resigned from the post in 1949 after the State was merged with PEPSU,and returned to legal practice.
Pritam Pal is former Lokayukta,an anti-corruption ombudsman body in the Indian State of Haryana,India. After serving as Lokayukta he retired from services on 18 January 2016. He was born on 3 June 1947 in the village Kandroli in the District Yamunanagar,Haryana. After putting 14 years of practice in Law,he joined Haryana Superior Judicial Service and remained District and Sessions Judge of various districts. In the year 2002,he was posted as Registrar General and then elevated as permanent Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. On his superannuation,he was appointed as President,State Consumer Redressal Commission,UT,Chandigarh. Thereafter he was appointed Lokayukta,Haryana. He recommended action in many high-profile matters involving Ministers,MLAs,Builders,Promoters and senior officers for committing acts of corruption. In his reports to the Governor,for eradication of corruption,he recommended and suggested for introducing compulsory moral education at school level. He also headed the Monitoring Committee of National Green Tribunal constituted for the State of Punjab,Haryana,Himachal Pradesh and UT,Chandigarh. Presently,he is Vice-President of DAV College Managing Committee,New Delhi.
Vinod Kumar Bali was an Indian jurist who was the Chairman of Central Administrative Tribunal,Principal Bench,New Delhi,and was the Chief Justice of Kerala High Court.
Sukhda Pritam is an Indian judge,presently Chief Judicial Magistrate. She remained as Joint Member Secretary,Haryana State Legal Services Authority in 2020-21. She also remained Deputy Registrar(Judicial) for two years at National Green Tribunal,Delhi. She is Judicial Magistrate First Class from Haryana Cadre. She was earlier appointed as Additional Civil Judge (Sr.) Division cum Judicial Magistrate in District Courts Sonipat since 19 April 2016. Her Father Justice Pritam Pal is a retired High Court Judge and was later appointed as Lokayukta,an anti-corruption ombudsman body of Haryana. After serving as Lokayukta her father retired from services on 18 January 2016. She was transferred and promoted from Chandigarh to Sonipat on 13 April 2016.
Hira Lal Sibal was an Indian lawyer,jurist and two-time Advocate General of Punjab and Haryana,known for his legal defence of cases against the noted Urdu writers,Ismat Chugtai and Saadat Hasan Manto in 1945. He practised at Punjab and Haryana High Court and the Supreme Court of India.
Ravinder Singh Dhull is a lawyer/politician of the State of Haryana,India. He is currently serving as Legal Advisor to Congress Legislative Party,Haryana headed by Leader of Opposition Haryana Chaudhary Bhupinder Singh Hooda,National Media Penalist Indian National Congress and State Spokesperson Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee. He was appointed to the post on 9 June 2021. He is former Additional Advocate General for the State of Haryana and remained posted in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. He is former State Media Penalist for Bhartiya Janta Party,Haryana. Earlier he has served as State Spokesperson for the Indian National Lok Dal from August 2014 till June 2019. His father Parminder Singh Dhull served as two time Member of Legislative Assembly of Haryana from Julana constituency in Jind District. His grand father Chaudhary Dal Singh was a noted politician of the area and six time M.L.A. from District Jind. He resigned from the office of Advocate General Haryana during the 2020–2021 Indian farmers' protest on 20 October 2020 in protest of the controversial three farmer bills being passed by the Parliament of India.

Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana is the state regulatory and statutory representative body for lawyers practicing law in the three states of Punjab and Haryana and Union Territory of Chandigarh. It was constituted as per the mandatory requirement of Advocates Act,1961 and Bar Council of India. In March 1953,the 'All India Bar Committee',headed by S. R. Das,submitted a report which proposed the creation of a Bar Council for each state and an All-India Bar Council as an apex body. Members of the Bar Council are elected from amongst members enrolled and practicing as lawyers in Punjab,Haryana and Chandigarh,and they represent the state in Bar Council of India meetings. Bar Council enforces standards of professional conduct to be followed by member advocates,and designs etiquettes and has the power to enforce disciplinary guidelines over the members of Bar.
