Anastácio is a municipality located in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul. Its population was 25,237 (2020) and its area is 2,949 km2.

The WHO ended the PHEIC on 5 May 2023. As of 15 April 2024, the pandemic has caused 7,043,660 confirmed deaths, making it the fifth-deadliest pandemic or epidemic in history.
