Angry Birds Mystery Island is an animated mystery comedy television series based on the Angry Birds video game series by Rovio Entertainment. The series was released on Amazon Prime Video under the Amazon Kids+ branding on May 21, 2024. [2] [3] The series introduces three hatchlings, Mia, Rosie and Buddy and a piglet named Hamylton, who get an all-expenses-paid getaway to an island near where they live but are mistakenly sent to an unknown island, and are left to explore the exotic island and try to get back home by solving mysteries as a team. [4]

Production

The series was announced on June 6, 2023, as a partnership between Rovio Entertainment and Amazon, with Eric Rogers serving as showrunner and head writer, as well as executive producing alongside Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina of Titmouse, Inc. [5]

Release

The first 8 episodes were released on May 21, 2024, with 24 episodes set to be released in total. [6] The second batch of the series was released on August 20, 2024. [7] The third and final batch was released on December 3, 2024. [8]

The Angry Birds Movie 2 is a 2019 animated comedy film based on Rovio Entertainment's Angry Birds video game series, produced by Columbia Pictures, Sony Pictures Animation, and Rovio Entertainment, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. The sequel to The Angry Birds Movie (2016), the film was directed by Thurop Van Orman and co-directed by John Rice from a screenplay by Peter Ackerman, Eyal Podell and Jonathon E. Stewart. It is an international co-production between Finland and the United States.
