Another Late Night: Rae & Christian is the second DJ mix album, mixed by Grand Central Records artists Rae & Christian. It was released on 1 March 2001 on Late Night Tales in the UK and on Kinetic Records in the USA. It was the third in the Another Late Night / Late Night Tales series of DJ mixes, each CD being mixed by a different DJ or recording artist, including Zero 7, Groove Armada, Tommy Guerrero, The Flaming Lips and Jamiroquai.

<i>Late Night Tales</i> Series of artist-curated compilation albums

Late Night Tales and its predecessor Another Late Night are the names of two related series of artist-curated compilation albums released by Azuli Records in the UK until 2009 when the independent record label Night Time Stories took over the series. Both series were started by the author A.W. Wilde. The tracks on the albums are selected and mixed by a diverse selection of artists asked by Late Night Tales to create the ultimate late night mix. Many of the albums end with a story track, read by famous English performers including Benedict Cumberbatch, Will Self, Brian Blessed and Patrick Moore. With the exception of Jamiroquai, Air, Bill Brewster, and Don Letts' contributions, each release includes a cover version recorded by the artist(s).

Another Late Night: Fila Brazillia is a DJ mix album, mixed by Fila Brazillia and is the first release in the Another Late Night / Late Night Tales DJ series. The album features songs that, as the band puts it, "represent some of the individuality and invention that has inspired us over the last twenty-odd years." With many of the albums in the series featuring a cover performed by the artist hosting, the band chose to cover "Nature Boy" by Nat King Cole, a song they heard a great amount during childhood. AllMusic praised the album, claiming it as "both an excellent introduction to the band's idiosyncrasies and a tacit triumph of naked eclecticism in its own right."

Kinetic Records was a New York City-based record label founded by Steve Lau, and co-owned with Alyson Shapero. The label launched the careers of artists and DJs such as Paul Oakenfold, BT, Ray Munns, Deepsky, Kosheen, Tilt, Timo Maas, Grace, Sandra Collins, Billy Thermal, Binary Finary, and Shpongle. Other successful artists on the label included Ash, Sasha and John Digweed, South, Faithless, DJ DAN, LTJ Bukem, Dario G, Luomo, Infected Mushroom, Max Graham, Dave Ralph Music Instructor, and Hybrid. It was also well known for its Tranceport series, of which Paul Oakenfold's first installment is considered to be the breakthrough record for the trance genre with the highest sales of any mix compilation. The release of Sasha's Airdrawndagger and Sasha and Digweed's mix compilation Communicate were also big releases for the label. Kinetic was the exclusive distributor of the Perfecto label in the US as well as the Another Late Night compilation series, which featured Howie B., Fila Brazillia, and Rae and Christian. It features songs and remixes from I:Cube, Jamiroquai, Padded Cell, Zed Bias, François Kevorkian along with some unreleased cuts.

It is notable for releasing the Late Night Tales compilation series since 2009 by artists such as Trentemøller, Röyksopp, Bonobo, Jon Hopkins, Bill Brewster, Groove Armada, and Floating Points among many others, while label founder Glancy has been helming the project since 2003. In 2013, Night Time Stories started to release original material by artists such as Khruangbin, Session Victim, Leifur James, Sasha, Ash Walker, Ron Trent, Garden City Movement, and Rae & Christian.
