Anthony Bramble (born 11 December 1990) is a Guyanese cricketer who plays for the Guyanese national side in West Indian domestic cricket. He plays as a wicket-keeper.
A former Guyana under-19s player,Bramble made his senior debut for Guyana during the 2010–11 WICB Cup,a limited-overs competition. [1] His first-class debut came several years later,during the 2012–13 Regional Four Day Competition,when he replaced the out-of-form Derwin Christian in the team. [2] Bramble scored his maiden first-class half-century during the 2013–14 season,an innings of 64 not out against the Combined Campuses and Colleges. [3] On 30 June 2016 he made his Twenty20 debut in the 2016 Caribbean Premier League. [4]
In December 2017,he scored his maiden first-class century,batting for Guyana against the Leeward Islands in the 2017–18 Regional Four Day Competition. [5] In October 2019,he was named in Guyana's squad for the 2019–20 Regional Super50 tournament. [6] In July 2020,he was named in the Guyana Amazon Warriors squad for the 2020 Caribbean Premier League. [7] [8]
In June 2018,he was named in the Cricket West Indies B Team squad for the inaugural edition of the Global T20 Canada tournament. [9]
In July 2019,he was named in the West Indies' Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against India. [10]
Anthony Bramble played [11] for the New Jersey Stallions in Minor League Cricket [12] in 2022 helping them reach the Atlantic Conference [13] finals. He had a Top 5 [14] finish among the batsmen scoring 486 runs with a 34.71 average.
Sunil Philip Narine is a former Trinidadian cricket player who used to play internationally for the West Indies. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut in December 2011 and Test match debut in June 2012. Primarily an off-spin bowler,he is also a left-handed batsman. Regarded as one of the greatest limited overs bowler,Narine was a part of the West Indies team that won the 2012 T20 World Cup,where he took the winning wicket of Lasith Malinga in the final. In November 2023,he announced his retirement from international cricket.
Johnson Charles is a St Lucian international cricketer who plays for the West Indies. As a wicket-keeper-batsman,Charles started his ODI career against Australia in March 2012. His first T20I came against England in September 2011,and he became just the second cricketer from the island of St Lucia to play for the West Indies. Johnson was included in the West Indies' 15-man squad for the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 held in September and October that year,where the team won the tournament. The Caribbean Premier League is an annual Twenty20 cricket tournament held in the Caribbean. It was founded by Cricket West Indies in 2013 to replace the Caribbean Twenty20 as the premier Twenty20 competition in the Caribbean. It is currently sponsored by Republic Bank Limited and consequently officially named the Republic Bank CPL. The inaugural tournament was won by the Jamaica Tallawahs who defeated the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the final.
Evin Earl Lewis is a Trinidadian cricket who use to also play for the West Indies as a left-handed opening batsman. At most featuring in limited-overs internationals,he's the third batsman,after Brendon McCullum and Chris Gayle,to score two Twenty20 International centuries. Lewis also holds the records of the highest retired hurt score,of 176 not out,in international cricket along with the highest score,of 125 not out,by a West Indian in T20 internationals. Lewis was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2016 T20 World Cup.
Nicholas Pooran is a Trinidadian cricketer who currently plays for the West Indies cricket team in limited overs cricket,and he is an occasional captain of the limited overs formats. He also plays for Trinidad and Tobago in West Indian domestic matches and for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL. He made his international debut for the West Indies in September 2016. In May 2022,Pooran was named as the captain of the West Indies team for limited overs cricket. On November 2022,he stepped down as the limited overs captain of the West Indies team.
Shimron Odilon Hetmyer is a Guyanese cricketer who plays as a top order batsman for the West Indies cricket team. Hetmyer captained the Windies to win the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. During 2018 the International Cricket Council (ICC) named Hetmyer as one of the five breakout stars in men's cricket. He is also the current captain of CPL side Guyana Amazon Warriors.
