Anti-Nasty League is the seventh studio album by English industrial rock band Pop Will Eat Itself, released on 25 April 2015 by Rumjoint Records. [3]
In June 2014 Pop Will Eat Itself released "Reclaim the Game (Funk FIFA)" and "Watch the Bitch Blow" in August, with the latter appearing on Anti-Nasty League. In preparation for the album's release the single "Digital Meltdown" was featured on Soccer AM on 28 March 2015. [4] Following the album's pre-order and digital release on 25 April 2015 the band embarked on a 9-date tour of England starting with a sold-out gig in Leicester on 22 May 2015 and concluding at Leamington Spa on 30 May 2015. [5] A video for 21st Century English Civil War was released on 1 May 2015 [6]
Writing for Louder Than War , David J Harris noted "It’s an album that’s brimming with vitality. Many of the verses are rapped over thick driving bass riffs that rip into stimulating metal guitar licks fused with instantaneous catchy choruses" and awarded the album 9/10. [1] Rockregeneration.co.uk noted the album's "political/social commentary" and highlighted the album's punk rock attitude stating "Throughout this album is the underlying message to [...] rise up against what is happening around you". [7] In writing for Record Collector , Tim Peacock awarded the album 4/5, praising the tracks Watch The Bitch Blow and Digital Meltdown, while also stating that two songs on the album "credibly hark back to the Poppies at their hard-hitting, Dos Dedos -era best" [2]

Clinton Darryl Mansell is an English musician, singer, and composer. He served as the lead vocalist of alt-rock band Pop Will Eat Itself. After the band's dissolution, Mansell moved to the United States and embarked on a career as a film score composer.
Spoon is an American rock band from Austin, Texas, consisting of members Britt Daniel, Jim Eno (drums), Alex Fischel, Gerardo Larios and Ben Trokan. The band was formed in Austin in October 1993 by Daniel and Eno. Critics have described the band's musical style as rock, pop, art rock, and experimental rock.
Nazareth are a Scottish hard rock band formed in Dunfermline in 1968 that had many hit singles and albums in Canada, the United Kingdom, and a number of other European countries beginning in the early 1970s. The breadth of their popularity expanded internationally, including in the United States, with their 1975 album Hair of the Dog, which featured their hits "Hair of the Dog" and a cover of the ballad "Love Hurts". They have continued to record and tour internationally for more than 50 years.
Grebo was a short-lived subgenre of alternative rock that incorporated influences from punk rock, electronic dance music, hip hop and psychedelia. The scene occupied the period in the late 1980s and early 1990s in the United Kingdom before the popularisation of Britpop and grunge. The genre and its attributes were largely absorbed into industrial rock, which would emerge after the sub-genre's demise in the late 1980s, which then led to the development of industrial metal in the 1990s.
Pop Will Eat Itself are an English alternative rock band formed in 1986 in Stourbridge in the West Midlands of England with members from Birmingham, Coventry and the Black Country. Initially known as a grebo act, they changed style to incorporate sample-driven indie and industrial rock. Graham Crabb describes their sound as "electronic, punk, alternative hip-hop, hybrid music for fucking, fighting & smoking cigars". Their highest-charting single was the 1993 top-ten hit "Get the Girl! Kill the Baddies!". After initially disbanding in 1996, and having a brief reformation in 2005, they issued their first release in more than five years in 2010.
Graham Crabb, also known as Crabbi, is an English musician, best known for performing in the industrial/dance rock band Pop Will Eat Itself (PWEI).
This Is the Day...This Is the Hour...This Is This! is the second studio album by English rock band Pop Will Eat Itself, released on 1 May 1989 by RCA Records. The album builds upon the band's 1987 debut Box Frenzy in its extensive usage of sampling, combining influences from punk rock, hip hop, heavy metal, and disco music, with samples and lyrics that reference, among many subjects, pop culture and otaku culture. Particularly influential on the album's musical style were hip hop group Public Enemy, while the album's own subtle post-punk touches would later be credited as influential. Some critics regard the album as a sound collage. The album artwork, designed by The Designer's Republic, touches upon nuclear warfare themes.
Dos Dedos Mis Amigos is the fifth studio album by English industrial rock band Pop Will Eat Itself. It was released on 19 September 1994 in the United Kingdom by Infectious Records and in the United States by Nothing and Interscope Records. The album is somewhat different from the band's other albums, as it had more of an industrial influence and fewer samples were used. The cover art was created by longtime collaborators The Designers Republic. The album was the last before the band disbanded in 1996, until the reformed band released New Noise Designed by a Sadist in 2011, with a different line-up.
"Is This the Life" is a song by English rock band Cardiacs from their debut studio album A Little Man and a House and the Whole World Window (1988). The song was released on vinyl by the Alphabet Business Concern and Torso on 16 April 1988 as the only single from the album. The song was previously recorded for the demo albums Toy World (1981) and The Seaside (1984). It also briefly attained chart success after being played on various Radio 1 shows thanks to DJ Liz Kershaw. The Torso version of the 7" is exactly the same as the Alphabet release although it comes in a paper sleeve instead of a cardboard one. Only the Torso 12" differs in both track listing and cover design.
Vileevils was an electronic dance duo, formed when the 2005 reunion of Pop Will Eat Itself (PWEI) failed to become a full-time project. Singer Clint Mansell and guitarist Richard March were too busy with side projects to dedicate themselves to writing and performing new material, and so the remaining three members of the band decided to form the spin-off band Vileevils, utilising the Sonic Noise Byte material that PWEI had written following the reunion.
Cure for Sanity is the third studio album by English rock band Pop Will Eat Itself, released on 22 October 1990 by RCA Records. Upon its release, the album entered the UK Albums Chart and stayed there for two weeks, peaking at number 33, and re-entered the chart when it was re-released in July 1991, staying there for one week at number 58. In Australia, the album peaked at number 51 and spent six weeks on the ARIA top 100 albums chart.
Smart Bar Chicago 1985 is a live album by American alternative rock band Sonic Youth, released on November 13, 2012, on Goofin' Records. It features a live 4-track recording of the band's performance at the Smart Bar in Chicago, Illinois, on August 11, 1985, during the tour in support of Sonic Youth's second studio album, Bad Moon Rising (1985).
A Lick of the Old Cassette Box aka The Lost Album is an album by the British industrial rock/alternative dance band Pop Will Eat Itself originally recorded in 1995 and 1996, but not released until September 2013. It was originally intended to become the band's sixth album back in 1996, and their second album on Nothing Records, but did not get released due to the band breaking up that year.
Live at the Fillmore East 10/3/70 is an album by Johnny Winter And, a blues rock band led by guitarist and singer Johnny Winter. As the name suggests, the album was recorded live at the Fillmore East in New York City on October 3, 1970. It was released by Collectors' Choice Music on April 20, 2010.
Eyes Wide Open is the debut studio album by American singer Sabrina Carpenter. It was released by Hollywood Records on April 14, 2015. Carpenter began planning the project in 2014, after she launched her debut EP Can't Blame a Girl for Trying, she wanted to make a full-length LP. All the tracks on that EP were included on the album. The album was recorded from 2013 - 2015 with the majority of the album being recorded in 2014. Musically, Eyes Wide Open is a pop record with folk, pop rock and teen pop influences. Its production consists on guitars, piano, drums and keyboards. In general, the album talks about Carpenter's personal experiences, friendship, love and teenage problems.
Now for a Feast! is a compilation album by English rock band Pop Will Eat Itself, released in November 1988 by Chapter 22 Records. It compiles their work before 1988, and has been re-released several times by different labels, each with a different selection of bonus tracks. The Cherry Red version, released as a 25th anniversary edition, contained almost every song released by the band while Graham Crabb was drumming, as well as several unreleased demos and versions, one live song, and three very rare demos recorded by Wild And Wandering, the previous incarnation of the band before their name was changed to Pop Will Eat Itself in 1986. The album is largely devoid of the grebo and electronic influences of later albums.
Meltdown: Live in Mexico City is a Blu-ray and triple-disc CD live album by the English progressive rock band King Crimson. Recorded over five nights in July 2017, Meltdown was released on 20 October 2018 and was produced by the band's keyboardist Bill Rieflin from Multitrack recordings. The release was announced in August 2018 and was preceded by streaming of the track "Indiscipline" on 4 October.
"Touched by the Hand of Cicciolina" is a 1990 song by the band Pop Will Eat Itself from their album Cure for Sanity. The song is about Hungarian-Italian porn actress Ilona Staller also known as 'Cicciolina'.
Prince Daddy & the Hyena is an American punk rock band from Albany, New York, formed in 2014. They have released three full-length albums and four extended plays.
The SoapGirls are a South African based rock band consisting of French-born, South African-raised sisters Noemie Debray ("Mie") and Camille Debray ("Mille"). Camille is the elder by 11 months. The sisters are the only full members of the band, using various session drummers when touring and recording. The band have achieved press coverage in the music magazines Planet Rock, and Vive Le Rock as well as website Louder Than War.
