N. Santhanam is an Indian film actor and producer who mainly works in Tamil cinema. Beginning his career as a comedian on television, he rose to fame through his performances in STAR Vijay's Lollu Sabha enacting the lead role in spoofs of Tamil films. He was subsequently given a chance by actor Silambarasan to feature in a supporting role in Manmadhan (2004) and then was signed on to appear in a host of films, notably winning good reviews for his work in Sachien (2005) and Polladhavan (2007). He appeared in a one-off leading role in Shankar's production Arai En 305-il Kadavul (2008) and became a staple feature as a comedian in successful Tamil films during the period, with his market popularity helping stuck films find distributors.
Aayudham (Weapon) is a 2005 Indian Tamil action film directed by Murugesh. It features Prashanth and Sneha in the lead roles, while Vadivelu, Subbaraju, Rajesh, and Janagaraj play supporting roles. Shakthi Vasudevan is an Indian actor who has predominantly worked on Tamil-language films. The son of director P. Vasu, Shakthi began his career as a child artist in his father's films before making his comeback in the lead role in Thottal Poo Malarum (2007). He has since enjoyed limited success as an actor, notably appearing in Ninaithale Inikkum (2009) and his father's Kannada film, Shivalinga (2016).
Siva Manasula Sakthi also known by the initialism SMS, is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film written and directed by debutant M. Rajesh, a former assistant of director S. A. Chandrasekhar. It stars Jiiva and newcomer Anuya Bhagwat, a student of Film and Television Institute of India, in the lead roles, with Santhanam, Urvashi and Sathyan appearing in supporting and Arya appearing in a cameo role. Despite initially gaining mixed reviews, the film became highly successful at the box office and has since become a cult romantic comedy film in the Tamil film industry. The film was later remade in Telugu as Shiva Manasulo Shruti with Mahesh Babu's brother-in-law Sudheer Babu and Regina Cassandra and released in February 2012. The film's soundtrack by Yuvan Shankar Raja was extremely popular and hailed as a blockbuster.

Starring Arya, Nayantara and Santhanam in lead roles, the film is produced by K. S. Sreenivasan and features music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography handled by Sakthi Saravanan.
M. Rajesh is an Indian film director and screenwriter, working primarily in the Tamil film industry based in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu and Known for making full-length romantic comedy entertainers, he made his directorial debut with Siva Manasula Sakthi in 2009 and followed it up with Boss Engira Bhaskaran (2010) and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (2012), all three of which emerged very successful at the box office. After this his following films flopped continuously at the box office due to lack of entertainment in his films as his previous films.
Nanban (transl. Friend) is a 2012 Indian Tamil-language coming-of-age comedy-drama film directed by Shankar. It is a remake of Rajkumar Hirani's Hindi film 3 Idiots (2009). The film features an ensemble cast that includes Vijay, Jiiva, Srikanth, Ileana D'Cruz, Sathyaraj and Sathyan, amongst others in prominent roles.
Oru Kal Oru Kannadi abbreviated as OKOK is a 2012 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film written and directed by M. Rajesh. It stars producer Udhayanidhi Stalin, in his acting debut, Hansika Motwani and Santhanam, whilst featuring Harris Jayaraj's music and Balasubramaniem's cinematography. The film was named after the song of the same name from the film Siva Manasula Sakthi (2009). Releasing on 13 April 2012, it opened to highly positive reviews and became a blockbuster.The film ran for 175 days in theatres. It was eventually released in Telugu as OK OK on 31 August 2012.
Thoothukudi is a 2006 Indian Tamil gangster film set in the Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu directed by Sanjay Ram. The film starred Harikumar, a prominent dance choreographer in Tamil films, in the lead role alongside Karthika and Rahman.
Siva Manasulo Sruthi is a 2012 Telugu-language romantic comedy film which is a remake of the successful 2009 Tamil film Siva Manasula Sakthi starring Jiiva and Anuya directed by M. Rajesh. The film is directed by Tatineni Satya and produced by Vikram Raju under Vega Entertainment. It stars Sudheer Babu and Regina Cassandra.

Bigg Boss is the first season of the Tamil-language reality TV show Bigg Boss Tamil which is the Tamil version of the Big Brother. The first season aired on Star Vijay from 25 June 2017 to 30 September 2017. The season's presenter was Kamal Haasan and a lavish house set was constructed at EVP theme park, Chennai. This season is the shortest season in the Bigg Boss Tamil series.
Siva Manasula Sakthi is a Tamil-language drama starring Vikram Shri and Tanuja Gowdaa. The series is the official remake of Hindi drama Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh, Piyaji. It replaced the slot of Pagal Nilavu.
